If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?

I would change people's attitudes. The racism, the stigma, the categarisation. All the hate, the assumptions, lack of humanitarian n sense of community. Obviously there is a lot of this in the world, ehich is ace - but it would be good if these negatives were less.

I've yet to meet a "perfect" human. Still time yet!
 
Yeah, there'd be no one left. The people that were left would probably be far too nice, and they'd end up being murdered, for being annoyingly upbeat. There will never be a perfect human. It'd be a boring world, if everyone was perfect.
 
Yea you've a point. I mean people's attitude like towards muslins etc. I've heard people say things like "shove them on a boat n ***** " those attitudes are awful n widen gaps. If there was less of this n more educatiom there may be less hostility.

What have people got against Muslins ? Didn't they come to Europe on boats originally - Seems daft to send them back.
 
People will always judge others that are different to themselves sadly. I do very much try to take everyone on a person to person basis. As in.... I class people as dicks or good people. There are a few that are grey area material.... All you can really do in life is treat others as you wish to be treated. I'd love to be treated nicely all the time but sometimes I'm a dick so it stands to reason sometimes people will be dickish to me. Such is life.

I don't see colour , age or race to be something that should stand in the way of a good friendship or even to simply be kind. It's just what is known as humanity. Or should be the proper definition of.....
 
I used to be quite racist before I came to EADD, if I honest. I listened to a lot of the propaganda about "them taking our benefits" n "them taking our jobs, our homes" etc. Looking back I was pretti naive n saying stuff like that when some people may have been members of EADD. I was actually really angry over it n I remember Knock saying to me,

"you had to become a drug addict before you empathised with other addicts do you really have to go live aboard before you can empathise with foreigners in this country?"

I remember being so bloody mad at him for that n then I realised that he was right n I was wrong. SHM put it a bit bluntly when I tried coming uo with "they're scapegoating us disabled so they can take our benefits n give then to the foreigners" n said "you're talking utter shit!"

Glad I don't have those stupid views anymore n it's all thanks to EADD n people here talking some sense into me especially Knock because he had this way of getting you to see you're wrong without resorting to nastiness or arguments. Hez'd just say something n you couldn't help but know he was right which was maddening when you're the sort who don't like admitting you're wrong n I never did tell Knock he was right with what he said n lead me to change my whole views regarding that issue. Ah well :(

I didn't fimd K's post touche n I'm probably one of the most sensitive people on BL in terms of taking stufg personally. She just expressed her opinion n is right in some ways but nonethless it's just an opinion similar to how our posts are our opinions.

Lol ughhhhh no! I went through a phase of abusing pro plus n that was awful. Taking a few stopped me getting over emotional but then when I took more n more it has what I term "the alcohol affect" because it ended up doing what I was trying to prevent - I couldn't stop crying (or shaking). I'll never take those again ever

read some of the arabian nights tales or some omar khayyam and you realise that these people are not backward or evil so what happened that we have come to this stage.
Me i despise allreligions because basically anything that tells you how you have to live your life and being controlled is just pure evil to me. We have a mind so why are we not allowed to use it.
 
I don't mind any religions and people are free to worship who or what they like, however respect my right to not follow your beliefs and allow me the same freedoms that I am giving you.
 
unfortunately most religions are there to enslave people and to convert so they cant leave us alone

You do not need the Bible to justify love, but no better tool has been invented to justify hate.

That could be argued both ways. I feel that, in the UK, I'm gibing grief for being Christian instead of people just accepting my belief n leavong me to it. People don'r like religion forced on them n I agree that it shouldn't be but I slso don't agree in people trying to force beimg an atheist down my throat. I find this just as offensive as an an atheist having a "bible pasher" preach Christianity at them. Swimgs n rounfabouts, live n let live. I mostly cholse not to discuss religion for these reasons. Just arguments that are circular n are on comtiual repeat. What is wromg with leaving people to believe in whatever theu wish? If people are nice to me, treat me right n dom't try to change me or hurt anyome zi love or care I have no issue with their belief systemwhatsoever :)

If I could change one thing in the world, I would make it law that all YouTube videos play at the same volume. Any deviation from this should be punishable by execution.
