If the Earth was about to explode Vs Which BL'er would you save

Damnably good point that, Ali. I'm terrible (far worse than most I suspect) for letting people know what they mean to me before it's too late (and, sadly, it is too late in a number of instances :(). Given how often people express the (apparently abstracted) wish to let people they care about know what they mean to them if some arbitrarily unlikely and/or unfeasible tragedy were to occur it's a damn shame so little of any of it ever actually takes place.

I would wish to get better at such things myself but that would be kinda hypocritical as it really shouldn't be a wishing matter. Sometimes simple gestures really aren't so simple to instigate no matter how worthwhile you know the outcome would be :\

assuming the world isn't exploding anytime soon, what are you doing to make your wish come true anyway?

Going into waterstones and defacing the vacuous, patronising, intellectually bankrupt self-help books with a scatalogical agenda

That's exactly a good point... so let's say in reality terms (global warming etc, etc, etc), there is a possibility that this world will one day be no more, or that we, one of us, will die.... What are any of us going to do to make the one think we want more than anything, reality? What will that one thing be?

Interesting subject, so let's have your thoughts, people!

Again, the obvious thing would be to work towards avoiding global ecological meltdown. Whilst personal relationships are obviously extrememly important the fate of all life on Earth is somewhat higher up the list of priorities surely? It's much the same as world explosion only with a fuckload more advance warning and many ways to avert the non-inevitble.

With that last post of yours it seems you should probably have tried Superman IV instead...

Blame franchise sequel so unfeasibly bad most don't even know they exist.

I, for my sins, had it inflicted on me at the cinema.

Not been the same since frankly.

:sus:

Good question!
I have been making a lot of changes in my life lately in pursuit of my dreams and I tell people as often as I can ( without it getting awkward/creepy!!) How much they mean to me.!

^ I know. God as far too much fun inflicting misery upon nations with wars and famines and other sorts of skulduggery. Blowing the whole thing up in one would be a big fat waste of time. God kind of prefers the threat and the fear of it blowing up....behave yerselves, worship me give my minions yer money and I wont blow it up kind of thing...ha ha, but i'll show you in more ways than one that I could if I wanted to...
