if i use adderall once a week will i still get a tolerance?

even if your not building a tolerance, by using day in and day out.....you will still need more eventually to reach the same effect as when you first started.....

once a week, no real tolerance......

twice a a week your starting to push your luck
 
damn i didn't think i'd need more and more just by using it so rarely. i get 10mg IR from my doc to take twice a day. i've completed 2 months idk if it is too early to ask for a high mg, and how i should go about doing so, it doesn't seem to work well in class anymore. i was thinkin its too early to ask for more
 
you have been taking it for two months....you already have a 20mg tolerance.....

also i was going to say, from a medical standpoint, your good on the same dose for awhile...
 
If it's not working then that's something you need to tell your doctor. It's up to your doctor whether they think an increased dose or a different drug would be better, but as long as you say nothing they're going to assume that your current dose is working fine.
 
Another thing which can happen is getting used to the initial side effects of a drug and thinking it's no longer working when they pass because you don't feel the same when you take it now as when you first started taking it.

It's working or it's not. If it's not working then something needs changing whether it's the dose, the formulation or the drug. Just tell your doc that it's not working for you and leave the choice of what to change up to them. If you go in there insisting on a specific change then you're probably not going to get an outcome you like.

What do you think?

Talk to your doctor and tell him/her how you are doing in school or work and he will decide if you need a higher dose. To be honest, 20mg is a real low dose, usually reserved for children 12 and under but its all up to your doctor.
 
Yeah, IMHO 20mg is pretty low.

I take 60mg daily but of course I have a tolerance

I always thought the dose doctors sought after was 40mg

But I assume, if that dose still works for you I see no reason to up it. But if it ain't working you may want to tell your doc what your going through.
