More should be done to stop sale of 'legal highs'

'HEAD shops' are still trading in this country, what the hell? Am I the only person who has been in the dark about this? Stupidly I thought they had all been closed down last year after Mary Harney finally bowed to people pressure and introduced a ban on many of their top-selling drugs, which included products called Snow, Blow and Vanilla Sky.

After he was rushed to hospital he was found to have an empty packet of Charge Plus bath salts, normally sold in head shops as a form of herbal ecstasy. His autopsy showed that Darren Lloyd of Artane in Dublin had a fatal dose of ecstasy in his system.

His autopsy showed that Darren Lloyd of Artane in Dublin had a fatal dose of ecstasy in his system.

& in one swoop the whole article is discredited. -.-

So wait someone put actual ecstasy in a party pill and it was enough to kill someone? Or do they just not know what they are talking about?

The general public seems totally foreign to me. The general public, of which I am a part, does not FEEL like anything I feel, never expresses ideas similiar to mine, believes the media, and appears to me to go through life blind. Utterly blind. It frustrates me. I cannot change the general public. I cannot seem to escape the general public.

I dislike the general public for the most part and the general public dislikes me often, too.

lol yeah wtf is up with the "XTC being found in his system comment?" (geez even the Irish media is nuts) They said he OD on Charge Plus or w/e bath salt shit was in his pocket which means it was probably MDPV, 4-mmc, or some other nasty RC stimulant.

Head shops are great. Do you folks across the ocean use the term head shop only for smart shops that sell drugs, or are all paraphernalia stores head shops? Here anywhere that sells pipes and bongs and stuff is called a head shop, some sell legal highs and some don't.

This article makes it out like head shops are there only to sell drugs. Head shops were around long before the legal highs, selling stuff to smoke with. Why would new drugs being banned shut down head shops? Where else could decent, law abiding citizens purchase their "tobacco water pipes?" Besides, there's always new and exciting untested RCs, and the gullible public is perfectly willing to be guinea pigs for the people making them.

I've always thought it'd be cool to get MDMA from a headshop, at least I know which product to buy...

as sad as this is, this article turns it into a joke.
