Volunteer at an animal shelter. It can be heartbreaking at times but extremely rewarding overall.
yeah, it's also hard workVolunteer at an animal shelter. It can be heartbreaking at times but extremely rewarding overall.
Yeah. I worked at a shelter (paid employee) for about 4 years. It is hard work and there are gut-wrenching incidents.yeah, it's also hard work
I would volunteer again since I love animals so much, but watching an outbreak of Parvo kill so many puppies in a day or two was absolutely gut wrenching and not something I can forget. I'm intentionally leaving out some specific details of that, too messed up.
I did hate cleaning cages, though. Smelly grunt work.
from what I recall (this was a long time ago) it was about 50/50 playing/walking the dogs and various random cleaning and feedingBUT, as a volunteer you may be able to just do the fun stuff like walking dogs or playing with dogs and/or cats. At the shelter where I worked, volunteers didn't have to do the smelly grunt work unless they really wanted to.
These "games" aren't innocent one bit.Hollow Knight
Yeah...the boy shoot on game...then one day grab a gun,go in school and have a really nice time.It happens in US very often...its absolutely not understandsble for me-to buy a gun, just like buy a toy.Different planetThese "games" aren't innocent one bit.
It's named Hollow on purpose. They mine out the soul and free thinking ability.
Instill all sorts, including addiction and attachment thereby weakening the connection with oneself, others and the holy.
Modern video games are very detrimental spiritually. Big understatement. Most people don't see this. As with culture at large they just see innocent entertainment and free will.
Making easy prey. GTA5 online especially is a real demon ground. It shocked the hell out of me. I was curious, so I had a go to see.
It's like a little excursion to the 4th dimension. People are becoming addicted to those energies, rewards, rules.
Certainly but to me that is just a minor part the real part is the fact that all over the world thousands maybe millions surely of an educated spiritually and morally and personally underdeveloped young men are spending up to 20 hours daily fixedly focused and heavily addicted to these games imagine the impact that is having stunting the development on every level emotional personal social and especially spiritual I would suggest it is actually worse than most drugs we are using here and the impact they have on us in these regards genuinely I feel that strongly about this and I know I'm right.Yeah...the boy shoot on game...then one day grab a gun,go in school and have a really nice time.It happens in US very often...its absolutely not understandsble for me-to buy a gun, just like buy a toy.Different planet

But I know there are exceptions to rule.oh stop
i play a video game that i find and like every leap year....im ok with it's "hollowness" because it doesn't change who i am other than i wanna start the game over because i need a new map and i can't find the fuckin map guy because i don't have a map to find the map guy - so im lost somewhere between Fungal Wastes and Mantis Village and i wish somebody else here would play because i can't figure what to do next
now - i downloaded that game because it seemed a little eerie, and i like eerie - dark goth type things - i love all that
im totally fine with the underlying demonic current
their is happiness in things that appear to be negative to the naked eye
you just have to find it....
now i guess if you have a weak mind, then yea i guess you can turn into the Hollow Knight - walk around the grocery store, slashing anybody who comes near you just like in the game - i might do that today actually...
but i think im a master at controlling my addictions and beating them back down when i feel the need to
and i didn't even know what GTA5 was until you just mentioned it and i searched it - not my kinda game
i like the 2D type games where you have to figure where to go and what to do next - whatever they're called
if you think it shrinks brains, it might, but so do a lot of other things in life, depending on your perspective

There's a difference between playing games for an hour or two a day and playing games all day. Video games are a serious problem, particularly with younger generations. Just look at Fortnite. Kids play it all day. It is all they do. They are obsessed with it.
At least games like Fortnite have very high skill levels.
A lot of games are just brainless. They give you achievements for doing nothing. There is no challenge. They are basically pokie machines that don't pay out. Bright lights and sounds to hypnotize people into wasting their lives.
My problem with Hollow Knight is: if you take away the graphics, what are you left with? Platformers are so samey. Double jump. Wall jump. Rinse. Repeat.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps is a beautiful game. My wife has been playing it. It is also exactly the same as every other platform game.
FPS is another super stagnant genre. They are pretty much all exactly the same. Games like Splatoon and Fortnite offer something a bit different.
For young brains this games are bad.Spending so much time in front of the screen is no good even for adults, cause thats a...how to say..rays?Personally I like to play, but my PC is too old and all games fitted for it are already played. In fact with all positives internet comes with a mass idiotism, just because most people just drown down in the sea of info, porn or whatever you want.Youngsters dont know what is a book.Easy way to reach every person,to misinform and manipulate....soo dangerous stuff is this new techs.Yes I understand what you talking about, but thats a reality. And it sucks.....,but non of us can't stop the time. What must be,will be.You are pure and honest brother.....not from this world.God bless youCertainly but to me that is just a minor part the real part is the fact that all over the world thousands maybe millions surely of an educated spiritually and morally and personally underdeveloped young men are spending up to 20 hours daily fixedly focused and heavily addicted to these games imagine the impact that is having stunting the development on every level emotional personal social and especially spiritual I would suggest it is actually worse than most drugs we are using here and the impact they have on us in these regards genuinely I feel that strongly about this and I know I'm right.
I will always endeavour to keep my being pure and honest and I want absolutely no engagement with the underlying demonic current which pervades our society which most are still blind to it seems.
Those games are dangerously invading and polluting to the mind and consciousness.
I just am different I guess since ever. What must be,will be.You are pure and honest brother.....not from this world.God bless you
Well my favorites was Tomb Raider,Hitman,Far cry,Silent hill,Metro,Alien vs Predator....not played from years....was nice with a joint....but is addiction too,not so bad like hard drugs or gambling, but its not so innocence....especialy for youngs, which must go sporting in freetime instead of gazing in da screen and hits da buttonsI just am different I guess since ever.
I naturally steer clear from lowly pursuits generally. Naughty indulgences.
Like a playground of bullies set loose. It brings out the worst in people.
Not my place. I also admittedly just don't appreciate all out scrapping, shootemup games.o
I loved the original Zeldas for example. And original Mariokart(s) with pals growing, great laugh.
Sensible world of Soccer on Commadore Amiga, with proper OG Joystick, wicked game.
8 year olds best friend sleep overs, we never got bored of football manager games on ZX Spectrum.
And others.
But all out nonstop button jabbing combat, never a break, not for me.
I liked the idea of the driving simulation games like Truck Driver too.
Just for innocent, non competitive therapeutic distraction really.

I think fiend is the wrong word.Dude, you're a drug fiend.
And yeah ofc. I tried to imply that.Dude, you're a drug fiend.
There's nothing wrong with competition. I see a lot more value in online multiplayer games than I do playing versus a computer.
The closest thing to Sensible Soccer is Rocket League which is a free-to-play game. Super easy to pick up. Very casual. Rounds last a couple of minutes.
