I recently got the X-treme test kit and did my first test, but I just read in one of the posts here that room temperature can effect the test.
So please tell me, what is the idea room temperature to do the test in?

i think this means that different room temperatures can cause slightly different tmes of the reactions. say test pill a in a cold room, then test it again in a very hot room. you will probably see a variation in the time it takes a reaction to complete.
there is probably no correct temperature, aside from "room temperature" which is about 22 degrees (i think).

But you're saying that ulimately the response should be the same, just may take more or less time, right?

Yes it should just be a slowing of the reaction. Check the documentation that you recieved with the reagent. Different reagents require different storage conditions, although you should keep all of them out of the light.
eg. Marquis reagent (EZ-Test classic, dancesafe, E1) etc should be stored in the fridge, but left to sit in the room (lid ON) for half an hour or so to allow the reagent to heat up a bit before performing the test

The current EZ Test X-TREME should not be stored in the freezer.
Marquis may be stored in the freezer, the others NOT. (With previous plastic versions, Marquis HAD to be stored in the freezer. Current packing, glass, only requires a cool and dark place)
Simon's and Robadope (all 3 bottles) should be kept cool and dark. Fridge is OK but no freezer.
We only realise now that this information is not clear on our site and will change it soon.
