Idea of ingesting a drug. Would it work?

Ok so I have an idea; if you take a pill, crush it up, and get some chewing gum and use the stickiness of the gum to collect the powder and chew it to ingest the drug? Would this be a nasty tasting waste or a tolerable way to get said pills into your system.

I'm wondering why someone would want to do this. Generally, pills do not taste good. What pill were you thinking of? As for a difference in effects, that probably depends on whether or not it can be absorbed by the mucous membrane in your mouth. You do realize that for your plan to work you'd need to make the gum malleable (which means wet) before adding your pill mixture, which means chewing it and taking it out of your mouth or dumping pill powder into your mouth with the gum in it (nasty and awkward even if done in the best way possible I'd say).

Any pill. Klonopins are sweet, Adderall is semi-sweet, and Norco's are bitter. I wouldn't mind the taste.

Sounds like an nasty tasting way to combine oral/sublingual, doesn't seem to have many advantages though, either hold it under your tongue for fast absorption, or swallow if you don't like the taste. No point getting it stuck in your teeth.

Got to agree, this doesn't sound like a good delivery system at all. Would you swallow it? If not then you're probably going to lose some drug that gets caught up in the sticky gum.. even if you swallowed it, there may well still be some wastage. Crushing the pill and putting it inside some cigarette paper/tissue paper and swallowing it would be more efficient if you don't want to take the pill whole, or fi you're going for sublingual/buccal administration then dump the powder under your tongue/in your cheek. Bear in mind that the filler/binders in the pill can make this significantly less effective if they prevent all the active ingredient from coming into contact with the lining of your mouth/tongue however.

they taste mintyfresh anyway! just let them melt under your tongue and skip the gum

For adderall I'd just as well swallow it - but i've no experience sublingualing it so idk if there's any increase in absorption compared to just swallowing it.

If you aren't concerned about the potential waste of materials (stuck in the gum and not absorbed well then sure go for it. But if you're really trying to maximize what your'e getting from the pills and you aren't taking them via some other method (insulflation, injection, etc [which I don't recommend]) then I'd say just chew them up, swallow them regularly or take them sublingually as is or powdered; the gum just seems like overkill
