id retro electro track (only expert music listeners please) and i paypal you money

Pretty cool track, i have no clue though. Definitely going to as around.

Have you tried tuneid.com?

? weird. It sounds like budget downtempo like some old Fila Brazillia b-side or something.

you might want to change the title, that's not electro. Its like early 2000-ish lofi, downtempo and it sounds professionally produced - just the bitrate is poor, its not 2 tracks that are home made. They added the music years later.

You sure it's that new? Not sure when the animation was produced but it looks like it could be from the 60's or 70's along with the music.

Its stop motion Super 8 so there's no sound on the original movie. Its not a late 70s or early 80s vinyl because you'd hear vinyl noise.

Some of Mr. Scruff's tracks sound a lot likes this stuff. Sound a lot like The Orb as well. Tangerine Dream maybe? Tosca? Tycho, Luke Vibert, Aphex Twin his early stuff ...

Its probably just me, just sounds like something producers would sample making downtempo, I listen to a lot of ambient, lofi, downtempo, chill, etc.
The hats sounded like Fruity Loops stock hats or something. There's some flute sample in there. There's a real Rhodes or Hammond in there at the first track. The 2nd bit sounds like a real Arp is used for the bass, reverb tambourine, some drum loop ...

The moral of the story:

Röyksopp - Junior is a good fucking album.

lol you guys are crazy. going all into it detailing it. man, i know i wont get straight answer unless from the actual filmmaker. its some indie filmmaker guy who wont respond my email. anyway tnx a lot, some good cool stuff to read about it. i guess i confused it for electro but its downtempo ? sounds so, electronically produced its hard im sure. maybe its one of the guys you mentioned i check. but aphex twin and luke vibert are acid asshole producers. they wouldnt release something as clean and soft. bah

I always find music IDs to be weird little puzzles that lead to finding new artists and producers. I've heard of Röyksopp, but never really checked them out.

Electro: HASHIM - WE'RE ROCKING THE PLANET 1984 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aj7lwJulS8

^^ That's classic 80s electro.

Aphex Twin is well known for releasing weird ambient releases. I've never really heard him putting out Acid, which I guess is his later stuff.

Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works 85-92

AFX - Analogue Bubblebath

Vibert has some weird stuff in his back catalogue, like vinyl only releases.

Luke Vibert - Psycho Tape

Wagon Christ (Luke Vibert) - Glass World / Phat Lab. Nightmare

If you listen to ambient music that last track is a dead ringer for a bunch of different artists. Try listening to SomaFM - Ambient and you'll get the drift.

man, i dont like 90% of music. gonna be a huge task to satisfy me. none of those hit the spot

I have sent it to a man a rather well known record producer/DJ twit into all that ambient shiz. Now if he doesn't know it will drive him crazier than you trying to id it. I can see them all now at the weekend all the hangers on, musos etc etc and 'collaborator's' KILLING themselves to outdo each others musical nerdability and win the prize of smugness on an id. Will come back if and when it develops...=D

I'm not trying to satisfy you, I could give two shits about the "reward." There's just better tracks out there that are better produced. The genre itself these tracks are a dime a dozen, why are you even posting if you only like 10% of music?

that first tune sounds like a disco record being played at reduced tempo and pitch, with sound fx on top. it was probably a one-off thing

btw just listen to that second part, its some of the moodiest (moogiest heh) shit i know
