Sometimes meth is present as waxy rocks that almost seem wet, but do not dry out. I'm assuming this is what ice is. How does this work? because i have had ice before and it is fucking strong.
 
Doesn't sound like ice to me. Sounds like someone cut the meth & the acidtone didn't dry yet or is oxidizeing. Check out the link at the end for more info on ice...

So this is an issue that always causes confusion as ice is poorly defined street slang. Some people seem to use it to mean really good/pure meth. The convention in this forum is that ice refers to 4-methlyaminorex...a differnt chemical entierly.
Hell this should probably be in the FAQ...maybe it is haven't read it myself :-).

Yeah ice is a different drug from meth.... confusion comes from people using "ice" as a slang term for meth.... but yeah ice is 4-methylaminorex a different drug, its much rarer than meth and in my opinion, much better
 
I have looked in the Meth FAQ but they do not mention the word 'ice' but instead just say that sometimes speed or meth is in a wet form.. i just assumed they were talking about ice.
 
I probably would prefer meth to ice, i dunno, maybe i do, i just rarely am able to get meth, but can get ice fairly often (which is strange) So i can remember more great times ive had on it than meth if that makes sense... I like both for different reasons i guess.... ice makes me more euphoric and doesnt make me jittery so id say i prefer it
 
I'm growing anxious to try ice. I enjoy meth a lot and get an awesome euphoria from it, but if ice can produce more euphoria and less jitteryness, I'd love to experience that myself.

1) It's not "ICE"
2) Wash with ice-cold acetone and watch most of your shitty crank vanish... whats left is 'meth' ...

Relying on drugs to make you horny is lame ... personally no drug really makes me horny, my girlfriend does...oh and Ice rules!

I have had alot of speed and found it to make me very jittery and have noticed my teeth chipping slightly.. although ice doesn't make you jittery, it wires you for a good 12 hours so why would someone choose meth over ice..
 
I have heard that this waxyness is usually the HI salt of meth from the red p/HI synthesis. It dissolves in acetone while the HCL salt does not (theoretically but probably not practically usefull it can be recrystalized out of the acetone as the HCL salt).
What I am more curious about is will ingesting the HI salt get you high? Will it damage your nostrils/veins?
 
Well im not sure if the waxyness has anything to do with if it is ICE of Meth. Maybe it does, Here in Atlanta all we have is crank or shards. Shards is called ICE or tina all the time. One of my trips to the hospital they told me THC and ICE were found in my system. Iv'e been smoking and injecting these so called shards for a little over two years. When told what i was doin was just plain crystal, i could tell a difference. I just figured It was all just high grade amonia based meth. Henry medical told me I tested positive for the drug ICE. If so, there is a shit load of it here in Atlanta
 
I don't understand. The hospital you were staying at reported back your test results in street slang? They are a hospital they should say things like you tested positive for 'methamphetamine' or '4-methylaminorex' not use words like ice and shards.
If I am right about the source of the waxyness at least that means it is probably not racemeric.
Ohh and junglist you are an idiot. Why is it 'lame' to have drugs get you horny? I really could care less if your girlfriend or pictures of guys shoving toyotas up their asses makes you horny. If someone enjoys being horny and drugs make them that way why shouldn't they do so?
 
Haha, I didnt mean for it to sound like that. The doctor didnt tell me that . I'll quote my mother "The doctor said They found something in your system i can't pernounce, he said was very very dangerouse form of methamphetamine" I was in the hosopital that time for a damn panic attack due to sleep deprevation hallucignations. See they made me pee cause i wouldnt tell them anything due to my thinking they were trying to kill me or take me to jail. Anybody who has one of those serious sketch out's knows what i mean. Anyway it was time for a break. I went to a 6 week treatment after that have been clean for 3 months now of all drugs and it SUCKS. But it dont suck ass bad as the ER. Anyway I was calling it ice. I do belive that is what ive been doing for the past 2 years. It is hard for me to compare cause that almost the only speed I have done. Can anyone from Atlanta relate or give insight. I am curious myself
 
Ice, when properly used to refer to the drug 4-methylaminorex is most certainly NOT a form of methamphetamine, let alone a 'very very dangerous form of methamphetamine'. Either you, your mother, or the hospital is full of shit -- or maybe all of you are.
Either they would have said they found 4-methylaminorex, or they found methamphetamine.
Where do people get this wack idea that 'ice' is some form of super-potent meth? Meth is meth. It can be shitty and cut, or clean and good. But it's meth regardless. It is not some different chemical, or some 'form of methamphetamine'. It is just good meth!!
Now if you have had REAL ice, that is truly its own chemical. It will keep you up for twice as long as good, clean crystal. It will not be jittery, even if you do a fuckload of it. It will also not be 'rushy', agian, even if you do a fuckload.
As to the moron who says he doesn't use drugs to make him horny..well, neither do I, I am pretty much horny all day long as PhreeX can verify, but I still enjoy the extra-horniness that meth can induce.
And I LIKE the jittery/speedy feeling that meth has but ice/4-MAR lacks. The head high is better with meth also. Ice has a better comedown and doesn't induce anxiety as much, but IMO these advantages are not enough to make me want to do ice over meth. I also sometimes can't deal with being up for so goddamn long when on ice...
 
Well than it was just good plain shards. Damn you dont have to be so mean when tellin me im full of shit. I was just sayin what i was told. I do realize the term ice gets thrown around like the word love
 
Hmm..recovery you didn't happen to get any papers on the tests they did? I mean "form of methamphetamine" could be either an attempt to explain 4-methylaminorex to a non-chemist or just a reference to pure d-meth.
I agree it would be nice if ice really meant 4-methylaminorex, but utimately we can't dictate word usage to the world. If they start using ice to refer to particularly good meth well thats what it means. It is kind of like the stupid battle to keep "hacker" refering to only licit activities. The special interest in the know simply can't dictate word choice to the general populance.
Maybe we need to find another word for this shit that isn't used to describe meth on the street. I know I am getting tired of typing 4-methylaminorex over and over and probably can't even spell it but using ice to mean this (especially when it isn't in the FAQ) causes us to have this damn discussion every couple of weeks.
 
nah..... Well to be honest with you when i talk to people about ICE who know the difference they still tend to refer to it as methamphetamine. It seems only folks who do drugs and know the differece argue so. the papers said "abuse of methampetamine, IV use, Psychotic behavour, heart rate of 232 BPM" and my first time said " IV use, methamphetamine toxicity"
