In my Wiki-perusing I stumbled across a curious 3-iodobenzoic acid derivative of naltrexone.

This looks like it could be a really promising compound. A compound that produces strong analgesia (reversed by opioid antagonists) but is non-rewarding and does not cause typical opioid side effects like respiratory depression, itching, & constipation.
This could be a real breakthrough, imagine - OTC opioids for pain relief in the United States! Even if they're not abusable, it sounds like a great plan to me.
