All the clubs except Pacha will be closed. Most closing parties are the last week of September / 1st week of October.

Ive always preferred the closing parties but i think your trip is a little on the late side to catch the best ones.

Thought id post in this thread as ive been blasting the 3fpm since lunchtime, and ive just discovered an Eddie Halliwell set from creamibiza 2004 ive never heard before on youtube, call me a cheesequave but its fucking perfect.. I was at the closing party that year, no eddie but tiesto and pvd played the main room. Tiesto was shite (i have seen him play good sets on previous occasions, long before he became a joke), pvd was naturally awsome.

God im the clubbing equivalent of Gary King. Too old for anyone to want to go out dancing with me any more, but its still my favourite thing in the world.
 
right, i know im getting annoying now but my nostalgia is really getting the better of me. .Now the ed halliwells finished - the first recommendation yutoob put to me was the 2004 Paul Van Dyk closing set from cream ibiza ive just described above. I Ididnt even realise it had been recorded - last time i heard this was 11 years ago in amnesia.... i think im having a bit of a moment....

I've just booked my first holiday to Ibiza! We'll be going on the 7th of June until the 14th :)
I was just wondering how easy it is to get in touch with drugs on the island? We're planning on going to amnesia and space, and we don't wanna be sober ;)

I advise you to check the earlier threads Ibiza 2014, 2013 and so on.
 
Hey all! So I’m fizzing because I just booked accommodation in Ibiza from August 21-23. My gf and I have a place right near Pacha. It’s my first time in Europe, in fact first time partying outside of NZ.. so I have no idea what to expect.. I’ve read a few guides to Ibiza and forum posts but nothing so far has gotten me more excited than these annual BL Ibiza threads :D

There are a few things I would really appreciate some feedback on. We can only stay for 3 days so I want to make the most of this. I’m a bit out of touch with current DJ’s but enjoy deep and tech house like James Zabiela, and drum and bass like DJ Marky. The plan is to have a big night on Friday, probably at Pacha to see Digweed, then something low key like Cafe Mambo on Saturday.. Does this sound ideal? Open to recommendations.

My girl’s agreed to try mdma for the first time and I haven’t had it (or anything similar) in nearly a decade. Is pillreports a good source for safety info? Or here? I know I’ll most likely have to go through a street dealer so figure our best bet is to research what’s around and safe.

This is going to be the trip of a lifetime!

We cant reccomend specific locations for drugs but that wont be an issue - the street dealers in the main tourist areas dont make themselves hard to find. As for whats going around and the quality - keep checking this thread from mid june onwards and you might find some experience reports and by then with any luck the first posts from 2015 should be appearing on the ibiza page of pillreports.net - just remember that they will only consider reviewing pressed tablets - capsules, crystals and powders dont fall within their remit.

Finally - bring at the very least a basic (marquis) testing reagent - its not as good as having the full spectrum of testers but it can get awkward packing lots of corrosive chemicals into a suitcase for pan -hemispheric transportation. A well wrapped up and packed marquis kit + up to date information from this thread and pillreports + a bit of common sense should see you as safe as you can practically be. Enjoy your holiday, its a beautiful island.

3 things? Well top of the list is turning up at space for the carry on at 8am following a night at manumission, but with the council crackdown on 24hr club licences, a roof on the main space terrace and manumission back in manchester twiddling their thumbs, thats never going to happen again.

its changed the islands scene in my mind so negatively that i cant be arsed to come up with a further 2.

Any opinions on the value of a VIP table at Space or Pacha etc? The minimum spend thing was a bit hard to get my head around but sounds like a good deal.

VIP? bad value of course. why would you want to be in one of the best clubs in the world and not be in the middle of the dancefloor or next to a speaker? the clubs are palatial and generally there is somewhere comfortable to crash if necessary
 
Yeah i hear you but the way I'm thinking is from a strategy pov - I have to keep the gf happy with drinks flowing and a respite from the crowd, i sweat like a mother fucker when i dance and i do love a good sit when I'm rolling. It'll be august too so crowded to get in and to buy drinks. Gf is very keen on bottle service so we just need to decide where is best

I used to get totally soaked in sweat in the days when I could shake a leg, in the early days I used to keep going until I blacked out but the novelty soon wore off.

You sound like you've been at the game a while but as a point of advice I would mention that drinking little and often is the key, don't drink too much even if you are pissing sweat, keep sipping on a regular basis. I can never understand people that drink loads of booze on MDMA, I could only ever drink water and maybe a coke mid morning.

I would always make sure I was up and dancing as I came up as it stopped that 'monged out' thing some people do, but a nice sit down after you've been giving it everything like a loon for a good while is something to be treasured, nice J and a random chat with random people, I met some great friends that way. I still see Dave (rave) we met at an underground party in some arches in London and spent a good half an hour discussing the shared hallucinations we were both experiencing at the other end of the room, I knew I'd met a kindred spirit ;)

Just bought tickets to Glitterbox at Space to see Basement Jaxx on the Friday, and a table at Pacha for Paris By Night on the Saturday. Aww yeah!

Check out antz on saturday @ Ushuaïa or The Zoo Project. Both are pretty good dayparties. The second get a little more wild so to speak.

Friday you could visit the sunset beach in San Antonio for the sunset there. Its pretty good and a great experience especially with a partner. Very spiritual/romantic area to watch the sun die and the real party start.

Gonna check out the zoo project this time around. Any boat parties or sight seeing you recommend?

I always preffered mambo to CDM. Better music (pete gooding \o/ -i have a lovely picture of the pair of us in mambos and i love him just as much for his epic progressive house as his sun-sets) better food, better seats(more comfy) better vibe all round
