I would like to know about the safety of shrooms

taking some on haloween, besides Proper dosage,
I'd like to know how often shrooming is safe, (How long breaks should be taken inbetween dosing)

Is it safe to cook shrooms with any types of foods? (I'm not too keen on the taste of cow dung)

what are negative side effects of shrooms?

what are possible long term side effects?
 
Psilocybin is safe to the body, and is not neurotoxic. On the psychological level, hallucinogens in general have been known to trigger pre-existing disorders or cause temporary substance induced mood disorders.

Consider your set and setting, do not dose too high (two grams is a good starting dose), and have a benzodiazepine ready if you think you may require it.
 
Safety isn't an issue with regular use but tolerance is, space your trips out by a few days at least. The negative effects are pretty much limited to the possibility of a difficult trip, but unless the dose is high the discomfort shouldn't be overwhelming even if this were to happen.

Wow.

Shrooms sound so safe, I guess that's where there's not much of a hype about them?

I don't know where to go shroom picking but I think what Feste was getting at is that most psychedelic mushrooms are grown by someone specifically to be sold and consumed and that is likely where your shrooms are coming from. Price discussion isn't allowed, but there is a price thread in the other drugs forum I believe.

Okay cool, but I've been offered to go "Shroomin" with a friend, in which had a field guide of knowing the good shrooms in our area from the poisinous ones, and it was a book he bought from BARNES AND NOBLES :O

I would strongly advise against just picking up a field guide and going hunting. The difference in appearance between some poisonous and psychedelic mushrooms is not well defined...
 
Possession of mushrooms is just like any other drug. It depends on how much you have on you at the time.

Yeah, dont go picking. Unless you are a mycologist, its not safe to gamble on picking the right ones.
Just buy yours like everyone else and minimize potential hazard as much as possible.

Good luck man. I envy you for having your first mushroom trip. That was the best one of my life.

i think if you look into buying them you may realize they are a lot more popular than you may have originally thought.

at least for me in my long running search for shrooms i can rarely find someone with some to sell and whenever i actually do find someone they're always gone before i can get any.... still waiting for my first true psychedelic experience

That & you don't find most species of shrooms sticking straight out of cow crap like I think many expect.

The best shrooms field I know don't have anything like cows/sheep/whatever in.
 
if your depressed or anxious it'll make it much, much worse. anxiety more short-term, and depression much longer. i felt depressed and then loved shrooms so much that my tolerence was that if i ate a eighth it did nothing, with blunt after blunt and like 12 beers; that made my depression bad as fuck. fyi broo

and just going and picking shrooms is stupid as fuck: just go to that guy, that knows that guy, who met those people, who that got dem thangs



(and imo shrooms are too much of a head trip, and you should really introduce yourself to LUCY mann)

depends where u live and what time of year. Here in the northwest they grow this time of year everywhere!!! They grow in ppls yards unintentionally and just about in any clearing!
