(answered) I would like to get information about my deceased sister

Hi,

My sister died in 2010 from a drug overdose. I know she was a member on this website, as when i search her email in the search box, i am taken to this link:

However, her post is missing.

I once also received a phone call from a Russian (from this site) who advised me that my sister had written a suicide note that night (online) and was planning to kill herself. Luckily, I was able to intervene and she did not die that night.

She died several years later. When we thought she had overcome her addiction. Unfortunately, she had just managed to hide it better.

Now I wholly understand the anonymity associated with this site. But I would really like to find out more about my sisters account here. How she felt. Perhaps she shared some of her experiences on here. I really do not see the harm in this.

If an administrator could please contact me, I could give you all the information you need to verify this. (The account would not have been logged on since her death, obviously)

I'm so sorry to hear your story - as you already know some people that post in here do so for the simple fact they are anonymous. You may have all your sisters 'real' details but these are often not the same as portrayed on the site.

Well, my sister had mentioned this site to me and I'm thankful that she had people to talk to about her addiction.

Honestly - i miss her and have recently found that she had a large presence on a number of internet forums/pages. By finding her accounts I learn more about her even though she is gone

I understand that there are paranoid users here that think I am trying to 'hack' or expose my sister.

For example; I have a scanned copy of her death certificate; her superannuation records which she left in my name (proof enough that we were close?). I can also provide my own ID, which shows we were direct family

Anonymity is great and all. But she's gone. 4 years gone almost.

Proof of relations aside, I don't really see a way that we can help you with this. Your best bet is to try to access her email account to see if she received any emails from this site which should include her username here. So it's pretty much up to you to figure out her username.
