My hardened heart turned delicate by your touch.
Now shattering into a thousand pieces.
Watching you slip out of my life,
the same way you came in.
And knowing I was to blame.
Pain and a haunting, desolate feeling
overtakes my entire existence...
as I silently watch you disappear.
And knowing I was to blame.
Soft whimpers escape my lips,
as my body trembles,
from the unforgiving loneliness enveloping my soul
like some demon come to take me into hell.
Frozen in denial of the reality that will soon
become mine.
Delivered in darkness by my own hand.
Slipping from my grasp...
as I cling to your beauty
A hundred wounds gaping wide
emanating my vulnerability.
Prying eyes of scavengers lurking in the shadows
waiting for the final moment,
enjoying the final blow taken upon my broken spirit.
And I fall..........
from your world as I turn and watch you go.
All the time knowing...
I was to blame.
