It was only a day ago that the world passed me by
And gave me the finger, so I'd know what it it's like to be left behind
She told me to swallow my fist and get going
But man, I didn't know being alone could be so lonely
So I'm laying down, on a sofa, no one around, you hear me don't ya?
I'm indecisive, I'm not discreet, I'm not precise, I'm incomplete
I'm everything you'd never be, my mind wont let me budge my feet
Screwed to the floor, fucked to the wall, banged on the door, railed 'til I crawl, rocked like a whore, and nailed to them all
I can't rise to my knees, but I aspire to be strong
I'm writing this sonnet in patterns and riddles
For next generations to wise up a little
Frequent resignations of men from their posts
Leaves the world in a rut and leaves me as a ghost
A psychotic dreamer left to rot in the dust
By patriotic fiends cursed to rot in their lust.
It's a windy ass day and this land consists of nothing
Someone hit replay so I can resist the light of morning
Echoes fill my empty head, they drive me crazy, their screams phase me
Set no aspirations baby, time floats still as they cry and they plead
You are inconspicuous lady, why is it so hard to see?
You're a loser, forgotten, you were never important
I bet you didn't know you were an inch from an abortion
So point your pretty fucking toes and fix your nappy hair
Because the world's left you behind, and I hope you're well prepared.
