I WANT to get clean

Thanks everyone! I start tomorrow morning, because that's when I'll be in mild withdrawal. Hoping for the best... :)
 
You will be okay, if you feel discourage just read my post above.. I've experienced the feeling. I just quit a month ago... If I can you can!
 
I haven't been off it yet, which is why I'm waiting until tomorrow/when I start to feel withdrawal.

He said that I'm going to start off at 8mg, but if I still feel sick with that dose by the start of the week, then I can be seen early and he would see about increasing my dosage.

Personally, I'm going to start myself off slow. I plan on starting with 1/4 suboxone and increasing as needed, not exceeding 8mg.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I noticed something that spooked me during the discussion. Folks were saying that 8mg/day is a good, common suboxone dose.

I just started subs myself and my doc has me on 8mg TWICE daily. My habit was not especially bad, though I had an abysmal career of trying to quit due to cravings.

Obviously I'm not asking for medical advice. But I had been under the impression (not sure why) that 8mg twice daily was kinda a standard dose. But I'm thinking I was wrong on that. This dose seems to be working well. But I don't want to overdo my reliance on subs. Maybe I should ask the doc about reducing next time I see him?
 
The higher you go up on your dose the farther you will have to travel to get off of it if you decide to.

Nice work aq.=D I would really take the multi pronged approach and get into the counseling and self help group therapy. There is always an excuse not to, but we need to both heal from addiction and change the way we think and behave if we are going to effect positive permanent change.
 
Things are going well being on the suboxone! They have this unexpected fruity taste to them lol. I feel a little bit low energy and body aches, but overall, I feel good. I'm hoping I can keep this going.... I see the doc again this Friday.

You're lucky mine has a horrible bitter orange taste even the 0.4 subutex omes that I'm taking now do.

How are you feeling in terms of cravings? If you feel some at first give it time to stabilise n thatvwill stop. If you're not that's good. Sounds like you're on a good programme where they seem to care n it's not just about the money. Also dounds like you're on a decent dose as a lot of doctors have put people on too high a dose. Pleased for you x

OP, as for the fruity taste... did they put you on Zubsolv? That's what I started on and I loved them. Minty and refreshing.

Having prettyyyy heavy cravings! Especially after today. I had a horrible fucking day and just wanted to use SO bad. Bad day at work, fight with my bf at home...

Haha no definitely not minty, it's like a weird tangy/citrus taste. Minty sounds good though :P
 
Has anyone experienced really bad acne from sub? I started breaking out shortly after taking it and it's gotten increasingly worse. Any ideas?
 
Hey aq How are you? I would be surprised if it was from the subs. Your hormonal levels are likely a bit waked out from the continual opiate use and the shock to your system from changing everything up. This will certainly go away, but could linger a bit if your taking hotter showers due to the withdrawal symptoms.

Your doing great.. fuck a few pimples for a little bit. Please let us know how your doing!
