i came to visit you today

i got up early to beat the sun.
found my keys
and choked on the thought
of how this all begun.

time doesnt make it easier...

its been so long now
and still my tears burn.
everytime i think of you
my heart aches and my soul begins to yearn.

people tell me its time to let go.
its not healthy to hold on,
but if i let go i get scared...

that i will forget...

i thought i felt you while i was there.
when i was sitting on the grass.
the breeze it stirred the trees
i turned around to see
i was still alone.

why did you have to leave...

can you see me from up there?

i can picture you there,

sitting with an angel
having a good old laugh.
