Opioids I.V use vs 'Bum shots'

I cant recall the correct name for rectal administration? Anyway my question is if using gear IV how would a 'bum shot' compare? If an IV shot was 100% what % would rectal admin be and how does the high and rush compare? I know IV is going to be a bigger better rush but am curious as to how doing a bum shot would compare. Thanks in advance trancepants :-)
 
lol bum shot.. intra-rectal i think is what it's called. consider a "bum shot" like snorting it as it gets absorbed through membranes BUT of course there are far more membranes and space in your anus than your nose.. so sometimes you can actually get a little rush from the rapid onset of it soaking in quick. but before you bum shot lol.. you gotta clear the way.. take a shit and then do a bum shot =D

That's just the basics.. there is plenty of info around here for exactly how to do it.
 
Yeah I lol'ed at 'bum shots'. I was curious if you would get the same rush as from Iv'ing it? I have snorted a whole bag a couple of times and did not think that much of it to be honest as it seemed a bit of a waste and felt very little effects. Any idea on strength ratio compared to an IV shot?
 
i have no idea man, sorry. the dope i got in the past was in NE in the US and is tan and mixes perfect with water. no citric acid needed. sorry.
 
I dunno much about european H but I'm assuming if you don't need to break it down with citric acid to snort it you wouldn't have to do it for a bumshot since it is a similar process lol. I'm not sure though
 
I don't know about the citric acid. But I've done some 'bum shots' when my needles got clogged. It was a while ago but I'd guess if a shot of IV heroin was 100% I'd say plugging was around 60-70%. Slightly better than snorting, though its hard to be exact considering I was using street dope and every batch could vary slightly...and I was really looking for the IV rush. Maybe it was like 70-80% except it lacked the 'whoosh' of IV'ing.
 
Try it and see! Then you'll know if it's worth it to you. All I know about the matter is I have 'shelved' a Valium before and I felt it come over me like a rush as opposed to how it comes on orally.

If you mix it up like u would a whack, it will probably absorb quicker which will maximize the rush. If u lie on ur left side when plugging, ur anatomy makes it harder to leak out. That's my tips for now!

Edit: it's only one dose, if it turns out u like it better iv, don't look at it as wasting the hit, look at it as you've got longer til you'll hang out...

Thanks for the replys guys, it's much appreciated. I dont like risking IV shots as my veins are very hard to get and if I shot up even once I have to wait weeks to do it again or I will miss and even then it's gamble if I will be able to register and shoot the whole shot so was thinking at least with a bum shot you will not waste much and smoking it does very little to me so it looks like bum shots are the way forward. Hoorah for bum shots! If I was to get 60%+ effect from a shot up the bum I'd be happy.
 
Well, in theory treating the brown heroin (freebase) with an acid makes it more water soluble so the uptake over the mucous membrane should be increased and more rapid.

In reality however, I usually use brown heroin nasally and having occasionally compared with nasally administered heroin salts - which are very water soluble - I haven't noticed that much of a difference.

Since the overall physiology of the rectal mucous-membrane is the same as the one found in the nasal cavity, I would think that this applies to rectal administration as well.
