Hello Bluelight,

This is a harm reduction question.

I've never i'v'd pills, only had i.v morphine.

I have some 10 mg oxazepam, they are very mild & take an age to work orally, - feels like a 5mg valium that takes hours to take effect.

I wanted to know of the solubility of oxazepam in water? If it's quite soluble would it be effective to micron filter & inject??

I just occasionaly need rapid relief & i have an inflamed stomach lining so dosing drugs orally can at times cause discomfort & other problems.

Thanks in advance.

Well, I went ahead & did it. Couldn't reach any friends with microns so i triple cotton filtered a solution of 10 mg in 5 ml of water. Shot went perfectly: hit a vein on my forearm close to the back of my hand. Slow push over 30 seconds. No rush as expected but so far, 90 mins later, the oxazepam seems much more sedating than simply taking orally.

Doubt i'll bother again though.

Oxazepam is very poorly soluble in water (0.1mg/ml) .... it's probably better to do them rectally or sublingualy if you want a rapid onset

Sekio is correct. If you factor in its incredibly low potency, oxazepam doesn't seem to be IV worthy. A higher potency benzo with similar solubility, would have a better chance of effecting you properly.

Thanks for sharing your experience, but I am also glad you won't be trying this again. :)

Yeah, NEVER AGAIN. Sublingual all the way. To be frank i reckon the "sedation" i felt an hour or so after the shot was more likely just me crashing for the day.
