what would you have to use to make it injectable since they are not very soluble in water?

In any case, I do not think drug users should be playing with ethanol as solvent for IVing drugs. It simply is too risky.
The only IV ethanol you should be playing with is factory-made ampules.

This is a very good point. Don't assume that vodka or everclear are safe to inject with....hfrs said:I agree and would add that if you have to use ethanol, vodka is not the way to get it.
