I tried
I work so hard to improve myself
I try so hard to be what you need
What you want
What you deserve
You work so hard at destroying everything I loved
You tear down the lines of communication
You trample my feeling and my heart into the dirt
You make me worthless
I won’t give up, and I will fight for you
This time it’s not my fault!
I haven’t betrayed you, I haven’t lied to you
I never deserted you, and I never loved you any less
I’m still here, and I’m still in love with you
And I will wait, patiently, until you tell me to leave
And I will walk away knowing that I gave it my ALL
And I will die knowing I tried

you have raw emotion, which is what I personally love in poetry...

It's hard as hell to love face to face
When you're on the move from place to place
I didn't ask for the hardships
I didn't want it like this
Did you honestly think I tried to abandon you?
Try seeing things from my point of view
The mass confusion of moving
My means of communication unestablished
In yet another new world
No way to touch the outside world
Other than through this electronic window
Yet in all this, you portray me a villain
A thousand apologies won't be enough
To amend the scars on your heart
Caused by carelessness in handling my relocation
But you continue to improve yourself for me
Because I'm still doing the same for you
There's nothing to fight for, dear
I'm still here
And I'm not going anywhere

BKR, its bitter-sweet, a beautiful poem for such an ugly reason.
