i took 6mg of xanax at 9am its 2pm now can i drink?

^ This, sometimes while blacking out midterm memory bites the dust, so you can still function and complete tasks while it's going on, but upon coming out of it will have no memories of it. Frightening and best avoided imo.
 
Yeah i don't recommend it. If you really wanted to drink though, have a very small glass you wont need much alcohol to feel drunk. Sip very slowly, 6mg of xanax is quite a bit to so that will also make a huge difference if you were to drink a lot. Be safe take it super-duper slow if you choose to drink please
 
Question is....why do u need to take so much like 6mgs???? Do you tend to have extreme panic attacks?
I myself have severe panic attacks and my limit is 1mg. Nothing above that in a 24 hr period.

Suprised that you were not in a coma...from taking that much.
 
Well belive it or not, but i drank 3 beers around 2 and remember everything that happend. 6mg of xanax isn't THAT MUCH is it? Then again i have a very high benzo tolerance...
 
Eh 6mg is a pretty damn high dose to a individual with a lower tolerance(1-2mg will usually tear someone up) but with a individual with a higher tolerance that is a reasonable dose for sure, IMO. I myself like to take 3-5mg at the moment. Rarely I will have 6mg throughout the night and I will be very inebriated. I will barely feel 3mg right now so i consider that some what of a high tolerance, I never drink on them anymore though. I'm actually taking a benzo tolerance break for the next couple months so i won't have to dose to high for a good while which will be quite nice.

Yea 6mg is a hella high dose. And in my experience when i dose higher , it seems to last longer. So i would hold off on drinking unless you can manage just 1 drink.

Are you using extended release or regular Xanax? The half life could be between 11 and 16 hours. Even if it was the lower option (11), it's only been 5 hours.

After 5 hours, you would have around 4.6mg still in your system. This is a bit more than an average recreational dose and with both alcohol and Xanax being CNS depressants, it could still be dangerous mixing after that long.

If you take 6mg of Xanax again the minimum time you should wait before drinking is 44 hours (to be safe), leaving you with 0.375mg still in your system. Even with this, you should probably only have a pint or two.
 
6 is a fair whack. I know from experience what drinking will do on that dose and it isn't recommended. I however enjoy drinking a few beers while taking 0.5 or 1 mg. I've been in worse places and know the blackouts well, but under controlled situations (such as now), what's the big deal?

Man I used so many other drugs for years before I got around to playing with benzos, and EVERY time I swore I was gonna take 2mg max, and EVERY time I ended up taking more and blacking out if I mixed it with anything!

6 mgs would have me in a blackout on its own for sure!

there's people I know though that get prescribed them that can take huge doses.....

After the first couple blackouts, where I was out and about doing shit with no memory of it!? it scared the shit out of me, boy!
 
Xanax has a verrrry short half life compared to other benzos.
But because 6mg is a very large dose, and I don't know the tolerance of the OP, I really can't advise drinking.
Just wait till tonight to drink, drinking in the afternoon isn't that fun anyway,
But if you can't be deterred from drinking, don't drink hard alcohol. Start with a beer and drink it slowwwly.
