I think Marijuana addiction has a lot to do with MEMORIES and CHILDHOOD

I was thinking about something interesting today. Now, I have tried and used many drugs from alcohol, to weed, opiates, cocaine, benzos etc. But never have any of these drugs have any of these drugs but weed had such a psychological addiction from me except for weed.

I have been clean from weed for like 3 months now but I still miss it like nothing else. I began to think today that the reason I miss Marijuana so much is because of my past memories with it.

For most people in their childhoods, marijuana is their drug who is with them when they grow up as a teen and throughout high school.

The memories of getting high with your friends before a movie, the memories of taking the train all the way across town with your buddies after school on a friday just to buy some weed, and riding back on the train high as fuck looking at the view outside of the window.

The memories of the awesome intense feelings of hooking up with a girl the first time whilst stoned. The memories of listening to music and eating food while stoned.

All of these are very strong memories that I can't seem to kick when wanting to quit weed. The memories of watching Family Guy or The Chappelles Show while stoned and giggling at the non sense.

All of these things and memories are what make it the hardest of quitting weed. I just remember the days, the good ole days as they say, and after these memories enter my mind, I often reminisce about weed for a long long time.

I wonder if you guys seem to feel the same.

All the time man, all the time.
If your like most smokers, its been a big part of your life.
its like breaking up with a girl youve been going out with for ages.
But think of it this way, you made those memorys, no one can take them away from you.
They should make you happy.

With a bit of luck, his life was ruined forever. Always thinking that just behind some narrow door in all of his favorite bars, men in red woolen shirts are getting incredible kicks from things he'll never know. - johnny depp, fear and loathing in las Vegas.

Youre the guy in the red woolen shirt, so to speak. Youve had the experience. Be proud of that/yourself.
