I think I've got a dangerous drug problem in the making!

Hey all.

Over the past 48-72 hours I've been abusing my Oxycodone prescription in combination with illegally obtained Clonazepam and sometimes Nitrazepam.

A typical night of abuse is I'd initially take 40mg Oxycodone IR with 16mg (8x2mg) Clonazepam wait for that to kick in and then take another 40mg Oxycodone IR a few hours later. Don't get me wrong the feeling you get off that so incredible. In the end after several hours I end up passed out on my bed in some un-natural position and I wake up with sore knees and a sore neck cos of the position ive slept in!

My tolerance to Oxycodone is already high as ive been taking 120mg IR for two years for my Neuropathy but now im combining it recreationally with Clonazepam, my tolerance to that must be pretty high too if I can take 16mg in one sitting! They're not shitty Clonazepams either, they're the Rivotrils with that minty taste.

I think I've been using the benzos in general for about 2 weeks, but as I said over the past 3 days its turned into this!! I've been through a benzo addiction before, two years ago I was addicted to 8mg Alprazolam a day for about 6 months and the withdrawals are imo worse than opioid withdrawal.

The reason I got the benzos in the first place was for anxiety and insomnia. 2 weeks ago I bought a pack of Nitrazepam and now ive upgraded to Clonazepam! How long does it take before physical benzo dependence kicks in? As I said I've only been taking them for 2 weeks. Should I just "try" and stop the benzos for a week to stem tolerance and dependence?

Help "urgently" needed. Cheers guys!

16 mgs of clonazepam and you can mix that with 40mgs of oxycodone??? Thats a very heavy dose of clonazepam, extremely large, I would be surprised if you dont have some physical dependence on benzos if you can take 16mgs clonazepam like its nothing with 40mgs oxycodone, depending on your dosage of nitrazepam those first weeks, a dosage equivalent to 16mgs clonazepam daily for two weeks could definetly cause some dependence especially if you have been dependent before.

It's not just 40mg of Oxy. over the space of a few hours I add another dose of 40mg which equals 80mg! I haven't been doing this everyday for 2 weeks, like I said it's been going on for about 3 days, but the Nitrazepam has been going on for roughly 2 weeks but at more "sensible" doses. Basically im screwed arent I? Great :X

EDIT: I'm tempted to throw in Promazine as well which is an antipsychotic which would add even more sedation. Bad idea yeah? Im prescribed that too btw.

It's almost impossible to really say with any certainty. Your definitely going to have some wicked rebound anxiety. Whether that turns into a full withdrawal I don't know. Best thing is quit now. If you start shaking take a low dose of benzos and start a taper
