So lately I've been taking large doses of benzos daily for about 2 weeks usually 20-30 mg's of xanax per day or 20-30 of the 30 mg restoril capsules.Lately when I wake up I shake lightly and my arms and legs are sore as fuck until I eat a handful of xanax or any other benzo.are these typical early w/d symptoms for benzos?this question is more for benzo addicts and their experiences.

thanks OG.

Did I read that correctly? Did you mean to write 20-30mg? Which would be like 10 2mg bars per day? Holy hell.

Um... dude, you are gonna need medical help. 2 weeks is not a long time to be on benzos but unless you are exaggerating the amount you are taking is insane. I do believe you, I've taken ten bars at a time before but never multiple days in a row, let alone weeks. And the Restoril! Shit! I take 30 of those a month. Brother, you're taking 30 a day on top of the Xanax?! How on earth could you be so stupid, never mind how do you afford it?! Sorry man, but you're a grand mal seizure waiting to happen. I had three seizures when I stopped 10mgs of Klonopin a day after being on that dose for two weeks. Wean yourself down. Show some discipline or YOU WILL DIE for God's sake.

Im trying to kick opiates is why,and I recently moved to the murder capital of my country so it keeps me from being super paranoid.

I just tend to overdo it,5 leads to 8,8 leads to 10,then im blacked out with an empty bottle of xanax/restoril when I wake up

I think im going to wean down, the thing is I get 60 mg's of xanax a month from this east indian doctor who prescribes them without question but a little cash, and my gf get's 30 xanax and 30 temazepam a month.and buy on the street when we run out cuz all you need is a handfull of change to score benzos

man id go to a real doctor and tell him what youve been doing and get taken care of. You will seriously die if something happens and you cant get any benzos.

No worse than losing a couple of weeks on a phenazepam binge. Just cut the dose down to where you can sleep, taper another week or so back to ground zero.

Go to a DOCTOR?? What you guys trying to do, get him sectioned?

he's just a Dr.feelgood lol.I took 6 mg's of xanax and about 11 30 mg temazepams and its all im takin today.do pharmacies sell propylene glycol?I might have some pure diazepam powder 2morrow

Wow man that's way excessive, even for kicking opiates. You're just replacing one extreme with the other. For gods sake, try to at least take only what you need. There's no reason to take anything more.

I know what it's like to black out on benzos. I played around with phenazepam and I can attribute several disasters in my life to that shit. Just wait until you total your car man, it's all bad.

Dude, the benzo addiction is worse than the opiates! You can't DIE from opiate w/d's. There is gonna be a day when you can not get a hold of any pills, it's going to happen. You seriously need to seek professional medical asstiance as soon as possible. Good luck man, you WILL need it.

This thread scares me. But I would do just about anything to get a hold of ur doc tho, i don't have an addictive personality with benzos

Yeah he's well been overdoing it, but over a relatively short period of time.

2 weeks binging on benzo's plus maybe other stuff will dish out a nasty backlash of insomnia/irritability/feeling like shit, but that period of time even with the excessive dosing will NOT have established a level of 'benzodiazepine withdrawal syndrome' that would be anywhere near life-threatening.

I have to disagree Levvy. I have heard withdrawal symptoms can start to rear their head on benzos as soon as after a week of daily use. Keep in mind this would be for most likely even 2-4mg's a day (alprozalam). Taking 20mg a day for 2 weeks straight? I agree with the majority of the posters, stopping cold turkey after that (plus whatever other drugs you said you were taking) would be mindnumbingly terrible seizures at BEST, if not instant death.

Agreed, even 2 weeks will cause some level of dependency & OG will 'pay the piper' for his tune no doubt, but not on a life-threatening basis.

Also, from the info he's posted the amounts are very excessive, and a previous history of benzo abuse (if theres one) plus opiate withdrawal all means a few miserable days probably best spent in bed with his g/f rationing him with a taper.

But at the end of the day, he'll recover without medical assistance. What do you reckon would happen if he went to the docs, or worse ER?

You don't really have a medical basis to be making these claims.

What might happen if he sees a doctor? Oh, I don't know, maybe not have a grand mal seizure? It's blatantly retarded to encourage someone not to seek medical help with a habit that large. Even if it was short term, the amount greatly exacerbates the situation.

Actually I do.

Its people's own choice what they choose what to do, all I'm trying to do is keep things in perspective. He's binged his arse off on benzos for a few weeks...people do it all the time, including doctors & nurses. He stops, not necessarily straight away....no need, he's got the goods to taper.

You choose, a few shitty days not doing anything or leaving the house, or enforced rehab. End of, sorry

I was on Xanax for around 5 years. about 10 mg's a day. I also have been shooting heroin for about 6.

Well, today is my 33rd day of clean time.

Kicking benzo's was the worst thing I have been through.

I had a seizure in rehab.....even though I was on Pheno-Barbital and Gabopentin.

I have been dope sick a million times...I can deal with that, but kicking Xanax was a whole other beast.

Be careful of what you put in your body. I had no idea. I'm still kicking. I still can't sleep, my legs are still running while I'm trying to sleep.

Good luck. Sounds like you have a social issue....something that you can fix with others methods.
