Ive never used needles before but while i was drunk & not thinking right someone gave me a shot of heroin. I think one guy used it before me. a second guy who was there but didnt have any of the heroin heated the end of the needle with a ligher. He claims that it kills germs & makes the needle steriel.
is this true?
should I go & get tested for hepatitis or something or am i worried about nothing.
does anyone know how long after contracting hepatitis that a test will detect that I have it if I go to a dr?
I dont really wanna tell a dr that I made a dumb mistake like shooting heroin but I may have contracted something from the guy who used it first.

Heating it probably wouldn't help, as blood would have been drawn up into the rig. You probably won't have to tell your doctor anything - there should be anonymous clinics in most areas where you can get tests done totally discretely, not involved with regular healthcare (you won't need to deal with stuff like insurance). Always better to get tested rather than put it off, to give you ease of mind as well as healthcare stuff dealt with if you did catch anything

^Pretty much. Heating the needle doesn't make it safe.

Get some tests done to be sure, we can't tell you one way or the other....

On second thought, I'm going to close this thread. Speak to a medical professional, I recommend getting tests done just to be 100% extra sure.

Closing thread now. OP, PM me or any other member of the BDD staff if you have any questions
