Stimulants I think i overdosed? not too sure...

I am mainly an opiate user but have been recently doing meth. I shot about a half gram in a few hours... when it was almost gone, i did some h to calm down a little because my chest hurt pretty bad. well, when it came down too it, i started to feel really good after the h and started to feel a little ballsy, did the last of the half gram, and immediately laid down. i started nodding in and out of consciousness, the tiles on my ceiling were rolling in waves, and i was talking in slurred madness. my boyfriend came to see if i was alright and i couldnt even move, and i could barely articulate words, he would just ask yes or no questions, and i would either answer, or i would start to pass out and stop breathing. my fever got up to 104, and didnt go down for hours, i was shaking, when i stood my muscles ached and my head pounded... pretty sure i overdosed... not going to be such an idiot next time i guess.... but if it wasnt an overdose, if someone could alert me as to what it was, that would be great. i thought maybe cotton fever was an option too, i have never had it. have been iv'ing for about 5 years now, never had it. thinking of putting it all down...

Sounds like a mild OD or Panic Attack. That needle is more trouble than it's worth. I'd stay away from that.
 
Yeah sounds like a classic overdose on psychostimulants. The fever was most likely from the high doses of meth combined with the heroin, as both opioids and amphetamines can cause hyperthermia.

What I would worry about at this point is rhabdomyolysis. With a fever that high with that much methamphetamine and with your muscles aching after the incident, you should make sure that when you go to the bathroom the color of your urine isn't really dark/coca-cola/bloody.
 
I'm surprised that no one has mentioned this yet... If you feel like you are overdosing or have overdosed you should seek medical attention...
 
now that i think about it, i have been drinking a lot of fluids and it had still been darker colored... not so much cola, little darker than apple juice. i am going to do some research on rhabdomyolysis.
 
just checked it out, i dont think i have that at all. im doing better now, i really think i just overdid it.
 
jesus christ. even reading that made my heart start beating irregularly. that shit scares me so much. ODing on stimulants is the scariest experience ever. with H you have no clue, that stuff you actually FEEL yourself starting to die. god, please be careful.

my friend and I were talking about this. Thinking about it is enough to give me a panic attack everytime I do a hard stim. I've been trying to underdose though - which works because I don't use all that often. So usually I do small hits spread out and never IV.
 
stop doing that ..its a bad drug ..seriously ..nothing good ever comes out of that stuff ..go to detox ..do something ..its a drug with no benefits except ruining yours and others lives around you who care about you ..just an idea ..
 
yea, i dont intend on doing meth again. probably just going to stick to the occasional opiate. went from using all day daily, to using once every couple days, so... Im getting there.
 
^I really hope that works for you and so far so good, right?

Just be weary and proactive, most people aren't able to go from all day, everyday use to chipping.
 
stay careful. you got way to ballsy for doing some of what you did. seriously stop speedballing though. it's gonna kill you if the meth by itself doesnt.
 
yea... i have never overdosed on meth. i mean, i fell out. which i guess is an overdose. i just wasnt 100% sure what caused it. been stearing clear of amphetamines though so it doesnt matter anymore

I believe that you were experiencing -hypertensive crisis-a result of extreme high blood pressure and quite often fatal or resulting in a stoke. Did your head ache like hell" Were you taking an MAO inhibitorwhich intensifies the effect of ANY and ALL drugs (despite the incorrect info on another forum) especially stimulants .They cannot break down so the pulse .B.P. and other parasympathetic aspects of the body "overheat" and nothing is ussually available to reverse. 300mg of thorazine is worth a try as a side effect is the correct type of reducing B.P. The only real choice is to go to E.R. and get "phentolamine"--tell the truth ,lie do whatever it takes--IF YOU MAKE IT TO THE HOSPITAL.
IT IS A HORRENDOUSLY PAINFULL WAY TO DIE..COMA. LOOK UP "MAOI'S AND SYMPATHAMOMETICS" AND "DEMEROL" (MEPERIDINE,PETHIDINE.) I USED MAOI'S (NARDIL OR PHENELZINE 90 MG/DAY AND DARED TO SMOKE FREEBASE! SINCE NEAR DEATH A FEW TIMES I GOT OFF NARDIL. NO HIGH HAS EVER BEEN THE SAME. 'IT IS THE PRESCENCE OF AN MAOI THAT MAKES AYAHUASCA WORK AS AN ORAL AGENT . PURE Dimetheltryptamine (DMT) is smokable only and makes LSD look like childs play. Not to worry I was/am much more stupid/impulsive/curious and careless myself. And I am a 58 year old failure. love
 
Fuckkk I just read this thread!

Man it puts things in perspective. I know strength of drugs differs heaps but I shoot (depending on what I can get) either a gram or half gram (speed) straight up, the second time I ever shot it, I had a half gram..

To hear you had that reaction from shooting a half over a few hours gave me a fright!
