So, hello bluelight. This is the first time i've ever posted anything on this site, and i'm not sure if this is the right place for it, but here goes:
A little about my background i am male, 21, have used psychedelics (as well as dissociatives and a few amphetamines) recreationally for the past 2-2.5 years, and cannabis for about 5. Within the past year, i have experienced 25-i Nbome 13-15 times, Dxm 5 times, Psilocybin once, lsd 5 times, 4-aco-dmt twice, and Lsa once. I have tripped about 12 or 13 times in the past 2 months.

Today i took 666mcgs of 25-i nbome, and for the first 3 hours or so of the trip, it was exactly how that much 25-i usually felt like (i am not inexperienced with this substance). After about the 3 or 4 hour mark, i was hit with this unfortunate pain in my side. That never happened on 25-i before, or any substance for that matter. It was in my left side, just below my ribs. The skin on that area of my body has these really small red spots on it. After that pain hit, i am left with residual discomfort in that area of my body.

Basically, I was wondering if any of you have felt anything similar after going through a "binge" period like my past 2 months have been. Did i massively screw up my body's chemistry? could i have possibly ruined or injured my liver or my pancreas (another organ right in that area)?

Tell me something other than lay off the psychedelics for a while. I know that much lol. I am planning on a period of detox starting tomorrow. If you have experienced something similar, what did you do to remedy it? did it work? can you still take psychedelics?

Thankyou bluelight. I am looking forward to becoming a part of this online community. Hopefully i have some knowledge that can help others, but right now i am the one in need of advice.

It should also be noted that for the past month i had been on strattera (a non-stimulant adhd medication). My doctor took me off of it when she noticed that i use drugs recreationally. Her reasoning was that strattera combined with other substances (particularly marijuana) can cause your heart to malfunction. Could that have anything to do with the pain i felt earlier? thanks again.

I have experienced a pain similar to what you describe from a number of drugs. But I never noticed any tiny red spots. Your liver is not located that low, it could be kidney inflammation. But it's really hard to tell you much from an internet description, there are so many possibilities than can cause pain in that area. The best thing to do would be to drink lots of water and see a doctor if it doesn't rapidly improve.

Thanks swimmingdancer for your reply. I'm headed to the doctor tomorrow before work. One of my coworkers recently had shingles, so that might have something to do with it.

Be sure to let us know how things go at the doctor for you.

I'm moving this BDD --> PD (to see if anyone there has had similar experiences)

Yea the most important thing righ now is STOP tripping for a LONG time especially on these RC's. That's a lot of research chemicals to pack into one year, these drugs have unkown aftereffects

Absolutely!

I doubt it's imflamed Kidney, coz if it was the pain would be excrutiating! I had kidney infection one New Years Eve, chose to drink rather than take MDMA. Great idea! Ended up in a Zimbabwe hospital, cost a fortune & I was in SOOOO much pain, it's indescribable.

Anxiety can often manifest as chest pain! I know your pain is below the rib cage but it could still stand that your year of heavy psyche use MIGHT have upset your brain chemistry such that Anxiety has become apparent. If you aren't suffering any depressive or anxious periods then you can probably discount this possibility.

Welcome to BL! Do please let us know how you're doing Plasmo, it's distressing when folk don't return to update us on their condition!

Good that you are visiting a doctor. In cases like this, always see one if symptoms are persistent. This forum cannot diagnose you, although we can and will support you in any other way we can. :)

Yikes, that's a lot.

Yeah i'm going to cool it on the tripping. I think im going to try and kick synthetic rcs. Stick to lsd and psilocybin.

The doctor said its most likely not any kind of organ problem. The chest pain subsided. She said its possible i have a viral infection. It just happened to coincide with me taking that drug. False alarm :)

Sometimes it's very easy to blame a problem on something just because the times seemed to coincide, or to assume a problem isn't related to something because they don't, and in my experience, especially if you throw in a slightly unpredictable variable like drug use into the mix it can be quite confusing sometimes as to which problems are coming from which drug and which aren't drug related at all.

It's definitely a good idea to see a doctor though. If you're in a country where there's no doctor/patient confidentiality and you feel it could cause you problems admitting to drug use, then don't mention drugs and just see if you can get the problem diagnosed. A lot of the time it's something completely unrelated as in your case.

Since your issue seems to have been resolved I'm going to close this. :)

Closed.
