TWISTEDmind: I'm going to close this post, because "what to say to the doctor" is the wrong way to look about it.

There are many problems you may be experiencing, one of which may be ADD/ADHD.

You should go to a specialist who is trained in diagnosing/testing for ADD/ADHD, and get tested. It's a long process, there's nothing we can type to "say" to them to get a diagnosis, you just need to be honest with them, it is in your best interest.

After you are diagnosed, you can take the results to a doctor for getting medication.

The fact that you've been sober for four months, and that it hasn't gotten better, is a sign you may have ADD/ADHD.

I have been off heroin for 18 months (in 5 days from now), and only until I got on ADHD meds, did I start to "feel better" with my inattentive and hyperactive and impulsive symptoms.

The best way to deal with possibly having ADD/ADHD, is to get tested. If you don't know who to go to for testing, go to your doctor and ask for a referral for ADD/ADHD testing.

Best of luck,
CH
