I think blotter ink might be making me sick

Amber/lavender/silver = most probably completely made up by a troll/storyteller over at the shroomery. Read the thread, it's highly entertaining if fiction is your thing.
QUOTE]

Silver-L that is bonded on a silver conductor. You can't read everything on the internet and gain solid knowledge. Plus, there are different ways to get LSA...therefore creating many of the other names. Sure, the chemical may contain the same atoms, but the method those atoms were bound in each chemical process, inside and outside of the plant, down to what you can't see on your Wikipedia defined molecule graph(where all seem to become experts in the field of chemistry experience), will have some range of difference. Which goes on to explain a little of how running current through silver bonding lsa and diethylamide will create more undesirable feelings, no matter how many times you refine it, how long those very tubes are, or your altitude.

these things were not made up by the chinacat thread. within the dead and jam scene in the states people have been referring to those different brands of crystal for decades. i am not sure about the silver conductor thing but maybe that is the case. from what i understand this was a way of telling the difference between different "families" that produced the crys.

and whoever said "GDF" controls the LSD trade is wrong, they probably do the brunt of the retail work on the bottom though. there seems to be much more involved with the BEL in the higher up synthesis, smuggling, and distribution aspects. there are definitely multiple chemists associated with the dead scene and their product comes out there before anywhere else, but from what i understand they typically do smaller scale runs, but who knows with the popularity of the festival scene now. there is a difference between the "family", specific acid families, and the GDF. the latter is more of a typical retail drug distribution network. but who knows, no one really knows these things for sure except those who synth it. all i know is that these names dont necessarily have to do with the aesthetic appearance of the crystal, although i think white fluff started off that way.

the chinacat thread was referring to how things were done on dead tour back in the day when things were coming from the owsley/nick sand/tim scully organization (the family). GDF is not the same group although im sure they began to overlap before sand was busted. GDF has way more to do with hats, pins and silly kids on tour than thumbprints and owsley.

I've come to realise that it's probably not the ink.

I should have made the thread more like "I keep on throwing up on acid, and I'm not sure why".

Certain tabs I've had I've been absolutely fine with, but it seems the hoffman ones make me sick as hell! It's like when I vomit I can really taste the ink. It's fucking gross!

And it's got me thinking, why the fuck do people put toxic ink on blotters? Why not just use frigging white paper??? So annoying!!!

Anyone else experience this?

If you mean the hofmanns all over the UK with the koi pattern on the back and 5 stars, I too thought they tasted really bitter and they made me feel sick. Definitely (weak) acid though, just not the greatest.

Yeah, those exact blotters.

Blotters have irritated me in the past, the ink bleed out onto my tongue and left a ugly blue stain for a few days. It only itched my mouth slightly though, I never needed to puke from the blotter. It all depends on the inks they are using, and how much of that ink their using.

Some people also get paranoid about the blotter when its on their tongue and trip themselves out (for example, they can feel the blotter on the back of their throat the whole trip) that could make you vomit just to get the imaginary blotter out from your throat.

If this is a constant issue I'd suggest a cup of warm water to wash down the blotter when your ready to swallow it, this well wash away some of the ink and get rid of any imaginary feelings in your throat, though be ready to deal with drinking while high.

White fluff = 60s chemist slang to signify the correct chromotography fractions (ie all usable LSD is white fluff)

Needle point = the practice of using a hypodermic needle to measure out very small drops of very concentrated LSD solution. It's not a grade of LSD or even a noun.

LSD is LSD. There are no different brands with different properties. And if you are buying blotters, you have no idea of the origin of the LSD. Dealers just like making stuff up to sell their product.

Well said I wish people would realize this. Also I remember people would claim that blotter/windowpane or gelatin squares were "double dipped" and other marketing BS. The same goes for people who claim to know the actual ug/mic content of a dose. Yeah you can estimate it but other than that it's just an estimation.

Yes the LOL "Thumbprint" story at the spoogery is funny! It's fiction and people there believe it as truth. What those fools who wrote the fiction forget (they are lot trash who would just sell drugs at concerts) is that if you take L in a high dosage like a "thumbprint" you may wind up blacking out or passing out.

OP you are probably not allergic to the ink in blotters they are just paper. Also chances are based on what you wrote you are not getting LSD; but are getting something else like an RC (research chem). Even low dose (or "weak" as you wrote it) LSD should not make you puke or get sick. Do you have bad trips or anxiety/panic? that could be doing it as well.

Blotter ink making you sick? lol...you sure you not just getting paranoid about such things? I've had countless blotters and never had this problem
