I seized after cold turkey off xanax!

So I made a huge mistake about 1 1/2months ago and I need advice. So I have been taking Xanax for about a week and a half. Not knowing anything about Xanax besides they can help you with anxiety. so I was taking them for about a week and a half every day and I know I was abusing them. Once I noticed I was abusing them I checked myself and just stopped taking them not knowing any better! So stupid of me I know! So I started having with drawls big time for about 3 days and on the 3rd day me and some friends went to Vegas for a music festival. Around 2 in the morning I woke up in the medical center the festival had set up, and my friend told me I had a seizure! So my question is will I seize again? I havnt took any Xanax and never will! I'm scared and will never touch those pills again! I have been clean since then, so about a month and a half.. I'm so scared that I'll just be at home or in public and will just drop like I did and have a seizure.. Someone pls help! Will this happen again? I don't know how this works?

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with Xanax I'm just glad you are OK enough to type out your post!

I have been addicted to many things, one of them being alcohol. When I hit rock bottom, I turned to my doctor in desperation for some help. He sent me to a substance abuse group for therapy and prescribed Xanax to help curb withdrawals.

I can't really say I became addicted to Xanax but I did rely on it for a short time as a way to curb the severe anxiety and paranoia brought upon by my current addiction to meth. It was like a magical pill. I'd binge on Tina and simply pop a pill to dramatically calm down and be able to function. I have no idea if that combo is a no-no but it didn't cause any worrisome symptoms. My experience may not be typical so please do not take that combo or any other combo without first educating yourself on the possible risks.

I never had full blown seizures but I did occasionally twitch a lot involuntarily. And it made me a very violent sleeper. I also seemed to get some of the most painful, agonizing calf cramps I've ever experienced. I'd wake up screaming at the top of my lungs from the excruciating, sudden pain. I was afraid to sleep for a time.

I suspect the Xanax affected more than just my anxiety and I do recall a constant, general fog in my head and I felt as if I were mentally challenged.

I had three periods of Xanax use with about a month between the first two and the third a couple of years later. I found it easy to stop taking them and did not experience any serious withdrawals.

My general advice is, if you drive at all or operate heavy machinery, you should stay far, far away from Xanax and similar prescription drugs.

Loins do you know if I will have another seizure?.. I'm not taking Xanax anymore so can this possibly happen again?

You have to see a medical professional. benzos are a drug whose withdrawals can have serious effects
