i work in an herbal plant, filling capsules. the capsules are VERY sensitivie to moisture, and have to be kept in dehumidified bags and everywhere they are being handled is has a humifidifier.

so be very careful handling them.

The times I tried DXM it was by way of Robo gelcaps, which are definitely way smaller than what you're using. Everybody is different of course, but after swallowing about 20 of those guys it became a task, and by the end of it I never wanted to see another pill again in my life. Good luck doing 144.

I guess I can understand the point that the OP is trying to make (And that scares me): Wouldn't it be great if instead of having to drink a few shots of something, or a few beers, or anything else, you had it in a compact, easy to use, easy to handle pill form? Other substances have gone to that format (I love Kratom tea. But I also love that I can take some gelcaps with me and not have to worry about making tea). So correct me if I'm wrong OP, but this would mostly be about convenience?

Everything else aside, I really don't think it would work. Regular alcohol would require a ridiculous number of pills to get anything off of it. If you DID manage to find a way to concentrate the alcohol so you'd require fewer pills, I'm guessing you wouldn't be able to find a gelcap capable of containing it.

And to everybody who's hating on this - This is how ideas are born. Somebody says, "What would happen if I..." Are you going to get some stupid ideas? You bet. But you're also going to get some great ones.

the point was to talk about a new idea, one that I personally think is cool.
i was mostly thinking of things like:

if you boiled pure ethenol would an alcoholic powder be left behind?
and things of this nature

update: the 24 gel caps i filled as an experiment started to disfigure after about 30 hrs. i put them in the freezer and now they remain stable.

i guess its not possible but the origial goal was simply to concentrate one shot worth of 151 into 5 or less caps.

Yes its possible but your going to have to use something else to make the gelcaps, not gelatin. And at that point your talking about your own home pill manufacturing machine, complete with its own technicians and service guys

you might try looking for something you can make say, little tiny ice cubes of the alcohol in question, say, the size of a pill etc. then you can find something to "paint" over them that will form a hard shell, non toxic, but will disolve in the stomache.

This is the real outcome of this idea in my opinion, you should first freeze the alcohol into a form you want it in, shape etc, and then cover it in something that alcohol doesnt disolve. As well since you still have water in it, it will freeze higher than the freezing point of ethanol, i will look into what materials could be used for this purpose, possibly a polymer of some kind, a glycol that forms a hard shell maybe.

Its not possible unless you have pure ethanol, and in that case its going to give you an awesome stomach ache and you will probably throw up. Ethanol is a liquid that evapourates at a fairly low temperature, there is no other form.

You could try dissolving it in a powder and just eat a bag of moist powder heh.

I don't think your idea is going to work, there is no way to injest a decent amount of alcohol in such a small form unless you IV it, and that would be extremely dangerous.
