the words still echo in my head
they wont leave me be
my insides turn and the wall ive built around myself
oh this wall built to protect me from my self
my emotions
It crumbles everytime the words repeat in my mind
I can remember the day like it was yesterday
the day you walked away
the day you left me in your dust to choke
to crumble
because not even love was worth being slowed down for to this girl
not even a little
the day I lost the one thing that kept me going
the one thing i really cared about
I need to get away
far far away
where no one and nothing can find me
not even my own thoughts
not even my own emotions
not even myself
so I can rebuild my wall so big and frigid that it will never crumble again
never be let down again
never let anyone inside my kingdom again
where they can sabotage my defenses and my plans
only then will I be safe and ready to move forward again
to never be knocked down again
