So my cat is going to pain management Tuesday and he needs some advice on getting on medicine that helps him the most which is oxycodone. His primary care doctor has prescribed him percocet 7.5mg after his surgery, 1-2 tablets every 4-6 hours after his surgery and eventually moved down to Lortab 5mg about 1 year after surgery. My cat hasn't been on pain medication in over a year but he works a very difficult industrial job and he has steel pins and plates in his leg and a severe almost 70 degree bend in his leg to where the leg looks noticeably bent in. My cat has found sources to aquire the medicine he needs but if his appointment fails to give him the medication he needs he will suffer greatly at work and has kittens he takes care of and depends on the income of his job to support his kittens is why he has decided to go into a clinic because it's cheaper and will do more than just provide medication to improve his quality of life and life at work so he needs advice on what to say or do to make the doctor understand his injury. My cats current tolerance is 15-30mg per day at work only as when my cat gets home he can relax and not depend on medication as he is not overly active at home like he is at work. Please and thank you for any and all
Also his doctor has stated he needs imaging records and a list of pharmaceutical medication that he is on how does one go about acquiring this information?
Also should I post the name of said clinic or keep it anonymous? I have the link to the website if nessacary. So my cat is going to pain management Tuesday and he needs some advice on getting on medicine that helps him the most which is oxycodone.
