Here's the information: My homework counts as 30% of my grade. My midterm counts as 30%. I have a 100 on all of my homework assignments. On my midterm I received an 83.
I multiply 100x.30 and got 30. When I did the same to my midterm I did 83x.30 and got 24.9. When I add them together I get a 54.9. Does that mean I have a 59.9 in the class?? Or am I doing something wrong?? Could you please show me if I'm doing this right?

it means you have 54.9 out of the 60 you've been graded on so far. There is still another 40 that you have yet to be graded on.

Take that 54.5 out of 60 and divide, you get .915. Your grade as of right now it 91.5, with a weight of 60%. Your final will average in with that with a weight of 40%.

So where did you get the 60 from ?

Thanks!

30% (homework) + 30% (midterm) = 60%

40% of your grade is still not calculated as I'm sure that's left for the final, right?

54.9
------- = PROFIT! No, it actually equals 91.5. Your grade is a 91.5 as of right now.
60

I hope this isn't a math class, because if it is, and you're getting an A-, we're all in trouble.

j/k, sorta ;)

Cool, I see how to do it now, I'm good in my math classes, It's just this English Comp. class that's tricky!
Thank you all's
:)
