I miss Phreex, Sputnic, and ODU!!!!!

Man, even though PhreeX, Sputnic and ODU have only been gone a week, it seems like forever. I'm sorry, but I'll never be able to get back on BL like I was getting on ODU... to much of this kindergarten shit that's absence was a main feature of ODU, other than being a private forum.
SovietContin, JosephTheSequel, all you fellas- you gotta resurrect ODU, and move on without PhreeX and Sputnic... he created something that was so superior to BL that I simlpy can't go back to this board and even bother posting to all these irrelevant and newbie-type threads.
That's just how I feel... I'll do anything you need me to and I'm capable of to help out. ODU was so still in the beginning stages, and its such a shame to see it gone before it's time like it's founder. You know PhreeX and Sputnic would've wanted that, even though it'll still never be the same without them... who knows maybe someday PhreeX'll be back...
 
didn't you realize when you posted this in the lounge that nobody cares? why don't you just email the people you are trying to talk to, instead of posting on a board you said you don't like? wouldn't that make more sense?
 
Something so superior that decanted off some of the morons infecting BL...
 
I don't know if you realize it or not but I am one of the original founders of ODU, and the cheif of ODU development. I'd like to bring ODU back, but I need new hosting for it. I don't want to run it on a small server where the owner's fate can compromise the board. Sputnic ran the system that ODU ran on, and now that he is gone that system is lost. This is the second time we have lost hosting, and if I bring ODU back up, I don't want it to happen again. I have options for professional colocation in the united states, but I want to host it out of the USA. Currently the only copy of ODU is sitting on my PC. If you have colocation options out of the USA please reply to this thread as I'd be intrested in talking to you.

ODU was a better format, but the replies were limited. The privacy was nice, and the source section as well. I dont dislike bluelight in particular, but i would like to see ODU back and running, sort of like them rebuilding the twin towers after they collasped. I frequented both sites.
 
I miss sput so much.. all the chats we had.. besides i was going to be his and sally's girltoy... well sally's all mine now *eg* I will never forget Dan :) And Suzy better keep in touch with me or i'm coming to indiana to kick her ass.
 
I have root on a server outside on the US, but I couldn't dedicate a whole system to ODU, I could probaly however host you...

Incase you didn't know, I'm SovietContin.

If ODU went back up, I would definantly become a member. But I honestly don't believe I have all that much to contribute anymore.

As far as just contributing facts about drugs and addiction, I can do that. But I'm very careful about how I communicate facts, stories and experiences anymore. My views have changed a lot over the past year and I'm not interested in telling people how to get high or saying anything that might encourage drug use anymore.

People also assume that I have a lot of knowledge about computers and networks. I don't. I had been losing interests in that stuff anyways, then I was arrested by the Secret Service. I wasn't able to use a computer for over two years. Between what I forgot and how much things had changed from 1998 to 2000, I just felt like I was too far behind to ever get back into that stuff again. All I know how to do is use the internet, do email and use music software.
 
I'm glad there are atleast a few people that appreciated our efforts.... However things are not looking good for ODU. I seek overseas hosting for ODU, however I don't have anyone overseas I can trust. Even if we could raise the appropriate funding for colocation, that is a very risky and unstable solution overseas. I'm glad that my efforts didn't go in vain though... I worked really hard to develop all the interworkings of ODU. I wish the community could have came together more in the development of ODU though, as I had many problems finding people to help with the web development side... Spilled milk now though. It was a good 14 month run. Thank you all.
 
It would be nice to get it up again. Sput was in Canada. Perhaps a Canadian server may do the trick? I am not that computer savvy but would be willing to help out if I can.
