I made a mistake, worried

So I am on one of my dry out spells for holidays. I took my 20 mg of methadone (2 10mg pills) orally around 6 am this morning.

I just took a 30mg oxycodone pill (4 hrs later), which I thought to be an Alieve, and now I am jittery, but okay otherwise. Actually, I feel pretty good.

I never mix meds and especially not with methadone, so will I be okay?

My normally tolerance is about 80- 120mg of oxymorphone daily.

Yes, you will be okay. As long as your respiration isn't slowed and you're not cold or lethargic, you should be fine.

Do you live in a pharmacy? Who just has 30mg oxycodone just laying around to be mistaken for Aleve? Lol jk dude you'll be fine. Just keep an eye on yourself but don't think about it too much. The brain can do some weird stuff. If you worry about it and look up all the signs of bad things your brain will make you think those are happenin. Take a nap or find somthing to occupy you. People have gotten away with a lot worse. For example I'm prescribed 9 10/325 Norcos a day I'm supposed to take 1.5 every 4 hours but usually just take 1 or 2 as needed. But that much acetaminophen can be very dangerous. There's been times when I'd take my 8th and 9th dose of the day before bed and wake up in the middle of the night (I have. 4month old daughter she wakes up somtimes) anyways if think it had been 4 hours bc that's how often she eats and Id take 2 more thinkin i was starting the next days dose when really it had only been 30 min or an hour. I've freaked myself out before thinking my stomach was hurting really bad when I may hve just been hungry or think I'm havin trouble breathing when really I'm falling back asleep. Just ignore it to an extent.

I personally would not recommend sleeping to someone who is concerned about overdose.

I'm okay but I will say that I will NEVER do this again. While the buzz was nice for an hr or so, I had the worst migraine coming down.

Weird because I can take a hella lot of oxymorphone in a day as rx'd but mixing 20mg of dones with 30mg of oxycodone made my head fool.

And to the other poster...yeah, kinda a walking pharmacy, but keep meds in my safe. I hide meds in the alieve bottle, hence, I mistakenly took one.

I too get horrible headaches/migraines when coming down from getting "too high." It's purported that this is largely due to oxygen deprivation in the brain from depressed respiration rates.

Lilikoimoon, I'm somewhat of a walking pharmacy myself. Except I don't have that strong of shit just norcos and OxyContin now. The rest is just like muscle relaxants anti-inflammatory that kinda stuff. I don't have to hide mine though. I live with my gf who is also prescribed norcos so she has no reason to take mine lol. Must be nice to have extra Layin around tho Its all I can do to make it through the month on my scripts. My tolerance is just built up way to much for my dose to relieve the pain any. I don't abuse them either that's what sucks. My doctor will not up my dose bc I'm only 20 so I guess he's afraid I'll abuse or sell. But I have genetic problems with my enzymes they are mutated so medications that needs metabolized ( oxycodone, hydrocodone, Codine, tramadol, etc. ) don't work for me like they should so I require much higher doses. I'm so tolerant to them that I would over dose or kill my liver long before I would get "high" from them. Be thankful you have a doctor that listens and takes your pain seriously.
