mixed up in your memories
you only get to see me in your dreams
close my eyes, saw that smile
saw my life dilate before my eyes
saw myself die in what wasn't you

of 20 dollar bills

dropped it down, put it down
pass it around, taken my time
off the table and into a straight line
shiny surfaces all around
they weren’t smiling back at me
