I know taking nutmeg orally is supposedly effective, but smoking it...?

Don't bash me, as I am not an abuser of nutmeg (:|). This is simply a hypothetical question asked out of pure curiosity.

Ahem...

I have in the past attempted to use nutmeg for its psychoactive properties. My ROA was oral (obviously). And yes, the experiment yielded unpleasant but still very noticeable effects (after about 6 hours, of course).

My question is, would smoking nutmeg cause any psychoactive effects? How would smoking affect the onset time, duration, intensity, etc...?

Any information would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You could try and vaporize myrista oil which contains the myristicin. As for just smoking it I've never heard of it working besides a bit of a buzz that even wood smoke could give you.

...affect the onset time, duration, intensity
Absorption via the lungs as opposed to GI tract is faster onset time. Duration and intensity depends on a few pharmadynamic effects and how the substance is metabolised which I don't know if have been studied for myristicin. Probably a greater intensity with less duration for inhaling a vaporized product, but it could be less of both.
