can we have a thread here in DC where people can quickly post their opinion about a new drug they just tried? i know there is already Trip Reports, but i am talking about something a little lighter. posts that are not thread-worthy by themselves, but that together could make a hot little thread. sounds like something that could already exist, but a few search attempts yielded nothing.

i'll start us off.

i just tried kava for the first time over spring break. at a bar; it was in a served drink form. tasted like ass, made my mouth go a little numb (might have been other things the drink consisted of), and felt decent. but it felt like shit a little later. a dirty feeling drug. was not a huge fan. the guy said it was better after the first time, but i never went back.

lyrica. better than i thought it was going to be. cool how long it last. still, was not something that made my mind and body fall in love. a little unclean/unnatural feeling. i could fucking absorb valium through the palms of my hands my body wants it so bad. could never be the case with lyrica, for me. to sum up: i did not buy more, even though the source is still open.
 
I just tried phenobarbital last week, although it was a very small dose (90mg) it was all I could acquire and I was taking it for the purpose of inducing CYP2D6 to potentiate codeine. I found it to do very little on its own but after only a couple drinks I was quite smashed and it really potentiated the codeine well, I took a second dose of codeine a few hours later which would ordinarily do little and got good effects from it.

Overall I would say it is not a great drug on its own, but its probably not fair to pass judgement without a considerably larger dose on its own. It certainly potentiates codeine well and is a nice way to make a few drinks of an evening a little more interesting.
 
I just tried Gabapentin and it was alot better than I expected it to be because I read alot of mixed reviews. I took 1200mg right off the bat and it kind of felt like the downer version of rolling cuz I got the eye wiggles and lights dragged and looked cool, also had some minor OEVs which was cool but instead of being all hyped up and awake I was relaxed, tired, and felt like I was drunk.

Overall a good experience and will def try again.
 
OK, I have been messing about more than I should with my old DOC, hydro. I went through a horrible cold turkey w/d about three years ago, and had managed to steer pretty clear of regular use, till a couple months ago. Long story short, the monkey came back, and I decided it was time to make him go away again.

Having read on here about how well Loperimide works for w/d, I decided to give it a shot, figuring I had nothing to lose either way. I am a very small person, (female, and weighing under 100 lbs.), so I took 15 of the 2 mg. tablets. (I had read accounts recommending up to 50 tablets at a time, but that seemed a little much for me.) As I did so, I was thinking to myself, this probably isn't really going to work, but it's all I have, so worh a try.

Wow. I was lying on my bed, feeling pretty miserble, trying to zone out to the TV and thinking I probably would not get much sleep (if any) that night, when all of a sudden, I began to feel very relaxed, calm, and sleepy! At one point, I was even worried that I was short of breath, and was almost "afraid" I had taken too much. But, as much as I fought sleep, it came on me, and it was some of the best sleep I have had in months! NO RLS! NONE!!!!! I feel into a deep, natural sleep, and awoke feeling great!

Blood brain barrier my white ass. This stuff works, it works well, and it was definitely not just psychologial; it was as physical a sensation as I have ever felt.

So, to anyone out there suffering needlessly from opiate w/d, I highly recommend the Lope.
 
I have just tried Tramadol 150mg and I wasnt really impressed, slight body high complemente being stoned tho. i dont think i will do it again soon
 
i never wrote about my 2c-e trips. happened about two years ago, i took i believe to be 30mgs the first time and tripped nicely. next night my friend gives me some more so i take 60mgs. big mistake. i ended up vomiting for hours and having to call a friend to talk me down to reality while waiting for the trip to end. gradually it mellowed down and i start to enjoy it. played some world of warcraft then went to sleep. next morning i awoke feeling like i had just climbed mount everest or something.
 
Tried Methadone yesterday. 5mg didn't really do much so i dosed again with another 5 and i was really sedated, felt good but way different than say oxycodone or hydrocodone.
 
Just tried MDPV for the first time evarrr. Pretty awesome so far. Took it in tiny oral doses and feeling really energetic like I did when I was a kid (not jittery or crack-ish). Very giggly and giddy too. Best stim I've come across in my 26 years, which ain't sayin' much considering ephedra and propylhexedrine are the extent of my stim experience :)

*NOTE: Trip report could well be premature considering some of the horror stories I've read. Will update as needed.
 
I had 2 tablets of Endone (equivelent to 5 miligrams of oxycontin per pill I think) plus about 200 mg's codeine. I felt fucking awsome. My first real considerate opiate high. Just laid on the couch in bliss for about 2 hours until I nodded off to sleep. I have always wanted to bang up heroin at least once. Most likely won't ever do it even though I have had the opportunity.

Had my first recreational experience with adderall. I have nearly no adderall experience at all aside from a 20mg XR my buddy gave me the other day. I hated the XR, but these ones were 10mg IR's.

20mg sublingual, then another 20mg about 30 minutes later. Nice little speedy sensation came over me while out at the bar, nothing too strong or too enjoyable, like the very first thing that might indicate the onset of MDMA. It stopped there though. Got home about 1.5 hours later, insufflated 10mg, and then about an hour or so later insufflated a final 10mg at ~12am. As a side note, insufflating did not produce any rush to speak of. All in all, over the course of the night, I would get light euphoric feelings and tons of energy while hanging out and drinking with friends. A friend even asked if I was rolling because I wouldn't stop bopping to the music.

It wasn't bad at all until I stayed stimulated until wayyyy into the next day and found it impossible to sleep literally the entire day. Felt like shit all day and guilty for abusing amphetamines. I finally felt all the effects wear off late that evening (yeah seriously, about 24 hours later) and had a decent sleep that night. That was two nights ago and I'm back to normal now.

Kratom blows adderall out of the water in every single way. Far more euphoric, cleaner stimulation, not pushy, even better focus, complete and total anxiety relief, organic, no comedown, no hangover, need I go on? :)
 
i've got some to add. ^kratom included.

i just tried kanna. feels like tramadol, but not quite as harsh or as euphoric. still does not feel natural or right. but it is also absurd how much i got of it for how cheap. given its so-so nature, that head-fry feel i hate in drugs, and how much comes in a bottle, i imagine i will eventually be throwing this away in an apartment move.

i just tried kratom. it feels ok, but i mean like 45 minutes ago. supposedly there is a hangover. my stomach is less than 100% too. i expect to be ok. from what i can tell right now, kratom is a little cooler than caffeine, but also a little less useful. i'll probably edit more into this later. i am glad i drank it, to sum things up. as of now. oh, and the nausea might be kanna. who knows.

now for a real drug, and this was a few days ago:

i just tried ketamine. a small bump. i was quite drunk and had taken benzos and lyrica. it was cool. it felt very strange. i liked it. quite a bit. but i did not do much. i tried to find the guy to get another bump, but sitting here now i remember saying goodbye to him before that. it is next to impossible to describe. like someone cut a piece of my brain, and it made me feel better. but at the expense of feeling strange. but you don't really care about feeling strange. life was liquid. also, erowid says it lasts like 45 minutes. it was more like 45 minutes of not really knowing or caring what i was doing, and then a few hours of affects that were easier to appreciate because i was not so out of it. less alcohol would have been good for the first 45 minutes, but actually it ended up mixing quite well and being a decent party drug. glad i only did a bump; the night was a good one. oh, but it felt like it was doing brain damage. that + alcohol = i paid the next day. anyway a big thumbs up, but a one time thing.
 
^ K + Alcohol is the best.

I tried MDA not too long ago. Like it much better than MDMA, mostly because I've over-done MDMA. Was a fun time, and the K + Alcohol on the tail end of the trip put me to sleep nicely <3
 
my second goodie. i'm only one or two short from completing my drug bucket list:

i just tried hydromorphone. 2-3mg up the butt. it feels good. i could have used a little more though. if snorting was close to rectal, i would just blow the rest of that 4, but i think from the overall reports ive read and how well this worked that i don't wanna risk wasting any trying that. and i cant go through plugging again so soon.

i don't know, i'm trying to think of how to describe it's character. guess it reminds me of something in between oxycodone and hydrocodone. waves of euphoria, but not buzzing like the -codones. more fluid feeling, like opana. opana is better. IMO, of course.
 
I tried acid last weekend for the first time. I took a small dose. It was cool and all. Things moved. I wasn't fucked in the head like I am on other psychedelics. I didn't have nausea like I do on other psychedelics (and most drugs in general). So it was nice. Maybe I'll try more next time. It wasn't "OMG" like it seems to be for most people though. :(
 
^oh man, if this was a literary journal we'd reject that shit. i'm sure it is a great trip report, but this thread is specifically not for trip reports. but right on.
 
I had IV morphine in the hospital the other day. I actually didn't like the rush. I was injected with the morphine and some anti-nausea stuff right after one another so I actually didn't know which one was causing the "rush" since I thought it might have just been a reaction. I later got another shot of morphine, and confirmed that the rush from before was that of the morphine.

I was always told that I didn't like morphine because I had only taken it orally, and "wait til you have it IV, that's the only way to go." Well, all I felt was a rush I did not care for, followed by the typical morphine high which I do not find that euphoric.
 
I just recently tried for the first time mixing a benzo with an opiate!

10mg of oxymorphone and 1mg of alprazolam.

Wow i just thought it would be more sedating, which it was, but it was also sooo much more euphoric than just oxymorphone.

To say the least i really realllyyy enjoyed it. The only down side was toward the end i straight nodded out and woke up two hours later which didnt allow me to enjoy all of the high. :(
 
took 2mg of xanax last week. felt absolutly nothing.

took 20mg of hydrocodone last week, minimal effects.

note: i had not done any benzos for over 3 months nor done any opiates regularly for 7 months. so it was not a tolerance issue. i just think once u have been addicted to heroin no downer will ever be very effective.
 
interesting you were unimpressed by IV morphine, Tommyboy. never had it, but like you mentioned, they say good things.
