Hiya Everyone,
Is there a creative writing / poetry thread on TDS? I've wrote a poem on Blogs but if there is not a thread I'd like to create one, if this is ok?
But I thought I'd ask first as I don't want to duplicate threads and as I've seen others also use creative writing as a way of dealing with their feelings and emotions it would be an awfully good idea to have them all together.
If there is one, I apologise.

Thank you for that, BRoI. I will go look at that. I won't include my poem I've just wrote there as I've put on Blogs and I don't want to put duplicate information.
My suggestion was concerning writing about addiction and recovery as an alternative way of venting, which may be more positive for me and others like me who tend to vent and over-dramatize things. I will have a lot at word and really appreciate you posting the link.

Awh... this may sound strange but it's good that you are crying. Let it all out. People deal with grief in so many different ways and no one way is better than the other, it's a process but it is good to let out all that emotion and release it xxxx
 
i certainly cry way too much too.
it sucks when you're supposed to be strong and on point 24/7.
like society almost demands if you're part of it.

just want to isolate,isolate,isolate for years.
just sleep till it's over.
but at the same time i feel ok.
strange days.
 
Good morning from GMT-6!

I woke up in the middle of the night and had the strangest feeling that I needed to look out front. So I walked into the living room, brushed aside the curtain, and looked out the window to see a man in all black standing out in the middle of my front lawn with a long shovel beside him. He was menacing as all hell all against the frozen snowscape, and the baleful reflection of the moonlight on the scene brought my attention to a long forked device in his hand and I immediately realized I'd let my water utility bill go unpaid for too long. Freaking out, I ran into the bathroom to open a faucet, and woke up in my bed, sweating, heart-pounding.

ADD TO TO-DO LIST: Pay water bill before utility company shuts it off.

I am typically most emotionally-affected by the deaths of people I would have known/guessed spent a lot of time thinking about what happens after death. This celeb who just died...he made a bunch of movies that pretty much ensure me that he thought about the end a lot. Well, now he knows the answer to one of the biggest questions of all...

On a serious note though - dreams can happen as a consequences of stress / worry.

Is it Philip Seymour Hoffman you are pertaining too? Same here, I am most affected by the deaths of people around me specially a relative/family. I havent had anyone pass away for a long time and I feel lucky that way. I wouldnt know how to deal with a death of a love one right now tbh.
 
My boyfriend is just....pissing me off today with his constant smiley face usage. I'll say something and he will just respond with a smiley face :! I need to go back to sleep. I'm in a bad mood today.
 
Ya, I'd just go back to sleep. It's probably more a general problem with communication that is going on (the smiley face represents him, in your eyes, being a bit dismissive of what's going on with ya). Communication is important, but it's not a fight worth picking right now. Bring it up sometime when you two are having a good day. Perhaps he's just nervous about his ability to help you and uses the smiley as a safety net.

haahaa. this sounds like the climax of a horror film from the 80s..pay the bill before the guy in all black breaks into your house and comes after you with the shovel ;)
 
Now this is really effed up, but I received a letter in the mail today saying that during a "maintenance check" the water utility company found that the shutoff on my property is damaged and it is my responsibility to get it repaired (so, I believe, they can shut it off.) Hahahaha! Now I've got until April 9th (or they'll send someone to make the repair.) lol BUT how is that for 6th sense, considering the recent dream?

I think I'm going to find out wherever it is, and pour wet concrete down the hole.
