...but I'm writing my intro now so there is no time for sleep currently =D

Hello and good to see bluelighters! My name is K*** ********* ******, but you can call me Bloop, Professor Bloop, Nurse Bloop, Dr. Bloop, Bloop The Scientist, and even Bloop the Dufas if you so please. Hell, it doesnt even have to have the word bloop, i'll answer to anything as long as you shout it loud enough. My mom has gotten away with calling me buddy for my whole life, but that doesn't mean I won't defend MY Sacred title of Bloopopolis to the death against anyone else.

Since I finally got all that silly worked out of my system I can get around to telling you people about myself. Well, I'm the type of person that wakes up past noon every single day and immediately starts watching cartoons and eating cereal. I've upgraded to raisin bran because the sugary stuff is too addictive for me. I'm also the type of person who usually takes a hit of hash within 30 seconds of getting out of bed because of various unpleasant side effects from chrons disease including digestive pains that I would say are literally far more painful than getting kicked directly in the balls extremely hard. Bet you guys out there think ball kicking is an painful as it can get for you? Well, ignorance truly is bliss in some scenarios.

Regular meditation, working on physical health and therapeutic dosages of the herb kratom and cannabis seem to kick my chron's ass... for a few months! Can't change it so I just to my best to rock wit it. I'm also being forced to work on my posture because of my new interest in meditation and let me tell you, after 20 years of sitting hunchback in front of a computer screen, getting into the habit of sitting back straight for extended periods of time can be a real son of a bitch to master.

I live for music, I even make some music. I always like to root for the underdog when I'm watching sports (unless it's a KC Soccer Sporting game of course) I also like to root for root beer. But nowthat we're on the topic of beers suddenly... :P I quite relish the flavor adventure a room temperature Bouleard Brewery Dark Truth Stout provides at the end of a long day But if you didn't notice the link I just posted it's an infographic on all the terrible things that happen to life long drinkers. Everything in moderation, as they say.

I've had the same plan for myself since I was young enough to think for myself, and its not very complicated. All I do is strive to make myself and other happy and alive to be on this big beautiful rock we all share.

I hav lurked here for years but have never had a reason for me to make my own account. Now I do. So, if any of your read this goofy mess all the way through that is some commitment and thanks preemptively for welcoming me into your community

Emperor Bloop

Haha, quite the rant. Welcome to BL! And yeah, get some sleep. I have terrible insomnia, so sleep deprivation is a constant for me. After a few days of no sleep, you pretty much start going literally insane, seeing shit, hearing voices, and all that jazz. Psychosis induced by lack of sleep is no fun at all o.0

Yeah, I don't usually stay up for more than 12 hours at a time ever. I was definitely at the point where I was hearing voices and shit at the point that I posted that. Yup.

Well I guess it's a unique introduction at least.

Welcome! And Welcome to the "Week w/o Sleep Club!". ;) There are many of us here. I don't go more than 2/3 days now, sometimes 4days if I am having a good manic run. =D
I loved your intro. Sorry to hear about your pain. Sounds like you are on a good regime and an even better path of managing it.
I too deal with chronic pain and as a 2 time ex-opiate addict,I have chosen neurotin over pain killers-until my surgery-,specific strains of marijuana,,binaural beats, meditation, and a loving, positive, grateful personal philosophy to deal with my pain for close to 2 years now.
Have you ever tried binaural beats? "Beta-endorphin has been modulated in studies using alpha-theta brain wave training, and dopamine with binaural beats"source: Wikipedia Binaural Beats link above....which you can experience by listening to something like "The Worlds 1st Digital Drug". It's really interesting, being able to duplicate different brain waves with different frequencies that can mimic the effects of some substances-on a neurological level.
I use Theta waves for meditations and lucid dreaming and alpha/theta combo is a cool after you get some basic lucid dreaming skills down. It has opened up a whole new plane of existence to me. I am still new to lucid dreaming, only a year under my belt, but as I get better at it the more fantastic my dreams become.
If you are familiar with binaural beats and frequencies and brain waves, then you know what I am talking about. If not,you should really look into it. Just google binaural beats for general info or you can use the Bluelight+Google search to find threads on the topic here as well. Or you can use the Bluelight specific search engine and just locate threads/posts on the topic here on Bluelight.

The Dark Side(TDS) forum is a great place for discussion of chronic pain&illness among other things. It is a truly loving and supportive community.Be sure and check it out!!!

Wow...sorry I hijacked your intro thread. I am pretty much been bedridden for over a year-I get excited easily! ;)

Really glad to have you on board. Stop by the NMI Social and shoot the shit with us sometime. I am looking forward to seeing you around the site.
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me or ANY staff member. We are here to help! <3
Happy Bluelighting!!!

Much peace and love................................skillz =D

Great post, and I'm glad I'm in your no sleep club! Lul.

I have made my own high/low ambient frequency audio clips for the purpose of reaching higher states of consciousness and it's quite a trip. Although I have read some pretty well backed up studies that say that if someone feels different from using a "binural beat" without any sort of meditation it is basically useless. Instead of bunural beats that are supposed to activete certain braniwaves, I use a contraption called the "Dream Machine" to have out of body experiences while still awake and meditating.

link: http://www.bluestwave.com/toolbox_dreammachine.php

taken from the site: "The Dreamachine was invented by Canadian-Islamic poet Brion Gysin and mathemetician Ian Sommerville in 1959. Based on Gysin's divinitory use of Sufic geometry, the motorized lamp relies on the flickering of Ishmaelite archetypes to yield an oracular state. American novelist William S. Burroughs, a devout champion of Hassan I Sabbah ("Nothing is true, everything is permitted"), made rather extensive use of the Dreamachine as a source of inspiration throughout his career."

Basically because of the way the lightbulb shines through the very carefully geometric patterns cut into the shade surrounding the lightbulb they emit flashes that simulate theta waves... and theta waves happen while you're dreaming! So if you meditate with your eyes closed in front of the dream machine and are actually somewhat experienced in meditation you can have full fledged experiences where you feel like you are meditating in an infinitely vast space that is bigger than the size of the perceivable universe and if you can reach a higher state I've even had OBEs on it. This isn't embellishing, this is neurological miracles.

Not to mention full closed eyed visuals and AMAZING music euphoria if you are able to reach this state without having to be in complete silence. I personally think everyone in the world should have dream machines in their living rooms instead of television sets. People would be so much more kind if they could let go of society for a few hours a day. In fact a friend of mine actually sold his TV to buy the parts to make his dream machine and doesn't regret it one bit.

As for lucid dreaming I was a consistant LDer as a kid but now I have to keep a dream journal and fall asleep meditating the intention of inducing an LD. And if my LD mantra stops before I pass the barrier between awake and aseep it usually doesn't work. BUT I wasn't so much into horticulture as a kid if you catch my drift so that could be why its hard for me to LD anymore.

hey...still trying to make myself turn off the computer! I read your post in dopesic's intro thread. nice work my friend! you have a great deal to offer Bluelight. In addition to Philosophy&Spirituality(P&S) be sure and check out The Dark Side(TDS) as I suggested earlier. You can help so many people there. Let'see...Healthy Living(HL) is another good one and Other Drugs(OD) where there is a kratom mega thread and other kratom discussions.

I know you have lurked for a long time but those were just some forums I thought that you not only find interesting but that you would be instantly helpful in. Feel free to hang here in NMI. We have a social thread in NMI,it slowed down for a while but aveo and I are determined to get it up and running again. Stop by and help us out. Once it's gains momentum...it is on! :)

Looking forward to seeing your posts all over the site!

Much peace and love..........................skillz

Wow, thanks for the good words. I do my best to help people and the forum I just migrated from instituted a no consumption rule meaning I could no longer provide harm reduction advice there. Therefore BL is my new e-hangout for that kind of stuff. I also did notice the health/spirituality forums and I imagine I will be frequenting those quite a but as well... haha, with all of the encouragement you've given me just now I feel like I can post without having to censor/dumb down my opinions/advice . Oftentimes I feel like people get annoyed by my walls of text and run-on sentences. I guess as long as I got one supporter then I'll just keep doing what I do best.

Thanks again for all of you who welcomed me. See you on the forums!

After a few days of no sleep, you pretty much start going literally insane, seeing shit

If I am in the mood for it, I wait patiently for many many hours so that I can (CAN) see shit

, hearing voices, and all that jazz.

Who doesn't like hearing the voices? I don't understand that. I know I've definitely broken some ground when I hear voices.

Psychosis induced by lack of sleep is no fun at all o.0

I fully enjoy it on a rather rare basis.

I personally don't like being delusional and IIRC sleep deprivation is one of the most harmful things you can do to your brain/body in terms of not taking care of yourself. But I ain't judging lol, I do it too. Never on purpose but sometimes life just throws you a curveball and you end up awake for 5 days.

I feel socially awkward saying this but I feel like there is a noticeable difference in the flavor of the average poster. Is any one else seeing an almost pronounced pattern of posters who denounce drugs?

I Can't ever crack that 5th day. I become way too incoherent and either black out or cant take it anymore.

People's view on use really varies by forum. I'm a diehard supporter of HR. I would rather teach someone the least dangerous way instead of discourage. I like the OD forum, as thats how they operate.

To bloop, welcome. I think you'll find the candidness your looking for and plenty of likeminded awesome people. However, do read each forum's guidelines before posting as each forum has it's own etiquette as to what is appropriate.

I'm also usually very on top of making sure to promote HR. i like giving people advice so as to make sure they're not unknowingly doing something risky or harmful , but as you can by reading this thread sometimes I don't always make healthy choice because of my re-dosing habit and occasionally missing sleep or a meal. I'm getting much better as I grow older (even though I'm still very young) and i think that's partly because at this point drugs are no longer as novel as they were when i was just starting to experiment with them so I tend to get the urge to change my consciousness a lot less than 5 years ago. they haven't lost their magic, i still have fun and can use chemicals as spiritual tools when I choose to, but that can never compare to the feeling of being completely ignorant of what a compound is like before researching it and finally experiencing something so totally new and alien that it feels like you are suddenly transported to a foreign landscape inside of your being where you can break through your apprehensions and discover things about yourself that you never even considered previously. considering the fact that for each different psychedelic compound one ingests you to travel to a completely unique-to-that-chemical neurological/spiritual landscape I now am mainly interested in researching more rare and hard to find chemicals (mainly ones that I have nt tried) so that I can get that same feeling of "ooh, this is new to me" that a novel first time drug experience provides.

ooooooooohhh, I hate that level of lack of sleep. I HATEHATEHATE when the hallucinations and alternate realities kick in! Luckily I have a good doc and I now sleep every night.

Not so into the spiritual stuff myself, but I know it helps a butt load of people. So, props for keeping yourself sane despite your pain ;)
