I have been thinking about doing dmt how will this effect me n my condition?

Please, for the last time, go see a doctor.
Figure out what the cause of the palpitations are.
Please?

I love to have fun too, but you need to slow down until you get diagnosed.
I may seem mean, but I truly have your best interest at heart.

Psychs- no.
Stims- no.
Empathogens- no.
Downers- possibly no.
Cannabis- definate no.

Advising with a MD is your best option, they are the only ones who have the knowledge to give you sound advice.

DMT will almost certainly fuck with your heartrate. Don't do it.

Have you asked this same question on another forum ?

As the above posters pointed out , you really need to get checked out it could be nothing just stress/anxiety,
I suffer from Tachycardia ( fast heart rate ) it dont mean the funs over , you just need to change paths

As im sure you know DMT will accelerate your heart very very faster in a very very short time 8o
Get Checked Out ...

Get yourself checked, you may just have a heart murmur. Not that I would recommend any sort of stims in this case.
But don't take that chance, because plenty of people have died using cocaine from heart arrythmia. Unsure about other drugs??

Heart palpitations are not a heart condition. "Heart palpitations" just mean you are abnormally aware of your heart beat, it can be anything from just really being able to feel it/pounding heartbeat, a fast heartbeat, or abnormalities like skipped beats. Palpitations can be present in a perfectly healthy person OR they can be a sign of a large number of different physical or mental health problems. You need to get it checked by a doctor before we can tell you whether or not it's safe to take any particular drugs. One of the biggest causes of heart palpitations is anxiety.

I am 24 and Ive had had heart palpitations since i can remember, and have been doing mainly stims, i have noticed recently that my heart often hurts while on stims, not too bad and not the whole time, but also that my palpitations are intensified. I will go to a doctor asap and will let u know the results, but if i could start over and not get hooked on stims i would !

Exactly. That word is what everybody seems to use to describe some sort of heart related perception and doesn't necessarily mean a medical issue.
Get it checked and revert with the real diagnosis.

EDIT: Soz, old bumped post bit still...

The two common causes of heart palpitations are nutritional deficiency (magnesium, B12, Coq10, phosphorus, calcium) and lack of proper rest. Do you also have crazy insomnia? The two usually go hand in hand. In more rare cases it would be a mitral valve problem but you would've had these since you were a kid if that were the case.

If the reason is rooted in nutrition, then a high powered psychedelic will just deplete you further. You don't want to be having heart palps while tripping because it will make you paranoid, and with something like DMT you might even start to believe you are dying. When was the last time you had a green salad, or any kind of greens in your diet?

Consulting an MD would make more sense than coming here, but in my experience MDs won't do much about heart palps, especially if your blood work appears normal to them. They might order an ECG but you would have to be having the heart palps during the test otherwise you will be declared normal.

If it's really bothering you, I'd start with nutrition. Don't do drugs in the mean time.

Do you know what your heart palpitations are caused by?

I was really bad into the ice... and at times I felt like I was having a heart attack;.. Heart rate 265 bpm self measured, Dr. put it down to panic attack at the meth use.

Turns out later when I literally nearly had a herat attack (Im 27 was 24 at the time) I went to emergency and said "I might sound stupid but I think I'm having a heart attackl"

And being so young it may have sounded rediculous but the nurse on at the ED felt my pulse and went white and panicied...

On my ECG it showed my heart rate at a steady 287 bpm... Turned out I had wats know as

'Wolf Parkinson White Syndrome'

Anywyay got flown to Royal Melbourne hospital and was there about 3 weeks, then they decided to do surgury... 2 prongs up my femural artery up to my heart to burns somekind of extra pathway in my heart... I was awake to see them opwerating on their moniters on a decent dose of midaz. and fent. but not enough to knock me out.. I could see it all on their sick arse monitors.... Heart pulpitations arnt always just panic attack or some kind of arrythmia... I suffred this since i was 13 and was told each time I xcould of died... its normally shown more in peole older than me (13 my first attack) 25 my last attack where i litterally nearly died... I was in and out of it in a smal country hospital and if i didnt get my old man to drive me to emergency would have died of a herat attack.... I remember just about passing out and them giving me oxygen cause i could breath with out it... close call...and it was all put down to meth use as i started at a young age which i guess is a fair diagnosis but lucky to be alive.... My point is be carefull with palpitations, thaey could be worse than u think...

Yeah they are really hard to diagnose. My mother has had them for years and they seem triggred by certain foods, like breads, and for over 15 years nobody can tell her what the problem is, its off pissing. Foreigner, thanks for that post, I will get her to try those supplements. Are there any others that could help?

I agree, palpitations for me are a symptom of anxiety. I told my physician and he gave a beta blocker which stop the physical symptoms of anxiety and said if they go away, we won't have to investigate further. 10 mg dose of propronolol for a month and I noticed no palpitation so I stopped. Now that I know it's not a serious issue, I no longer worry about them.
