Hey there. I got clean from opioids 18 months ago and my mental health went off a cliff. The anxiety’s all but gone, my only symptom is acute fuckin depression. I have to summon all my resources to put on a pair of socks. SSRIs don’t work for me. The last one I tried was Lexapro and had a huge anxiety attack within 30 min of my first dose (10mg). Thought it may be a fluke but same thing on day 2.

Doctor said I had an atypical response which is indicative of bipolar depression. Ive never had a manic episode in my life so I’m questioning that diagnosis. I’ve always been the most even keeled calm one in the family. Does that add up to anyone?

He wants me to try Vraylar by itself. I don’t see why an anti-psychotic would help me. A dopamine antagonist sounds like the last thing I’d want. Also, it’s typically stacked with SSRIs. Do people take it alone for depression? Successfully?

Any input you guys have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks 🙏
