You can find chloroform in many medicines, most notably cough syrups.

That was either a pharmacists or junkies stash. I believe digitalis was used like Narcan is used today, for crashes. It slows the heart down, but makes it beat more forcefully. Very interesting.
 
ts high opiate content also made it very addictive, and deaths from overdoses, either accidental or deliberate, became a frequent occurrence. definitely collector shit... I like how on the wikipedia page they say the cannibis was the first thing to be removed from it, like IT was causing all the problems. Always getting the bad rap....
 
What blows my mind about the whole deal were hte BOTTLES of fucking stycnine and arsnic. I saw like 10 bottles. I feel like if the cops or something knew about them, they would have to send the fucking hazmat team and call the FBI.

Some bottles were leaky, and thats why I can't take it. Even after i touched them, i was like hoo-leee-shit I have got to go wash my hands, and I can't even smoke a cig.
 
at least smell it :) thats all i ask ,i would not keep that inreach of ANY drug addict that is dumb ass ,i knw a few people who woul prob just turn that fucker up
 
Its a great novelty, and not worth the risk. I cant even believe thats not obvious to everyone here. Plus, the bottle becomes far less cool if its empty. Or if youre dead. Nobody who promotes harm reduction could condone the ingestion of that shit.
 
Some one has probably already sudgested this but It's storming like crazy here and this is very interesting thread. What I would do, buy as many of the bottle that you can afford, go to a few antique shops, find one that will purchase it from you. I assume your buying this bottle pretty cheap, you will most likely make a pretty penny off one bottle from an antique shop. Sell 2 if you have too but keep at least one of them. Use your profits from the antique shop to buy some pot, opiates and some barbituates or if you cant get ahold of any barbs then benzos. That way you get high, you make some money and you have an 80 year old bottle of mail order stuff. Dont do any of it, thats what the pills and smoke is for. Save the bottle with its entire contents. It will make a very nice conversation peice for your friends, just make sure they dont try to do any of it or get phened out and steal it.
 
That's a great idea. Just make sure you buy good weed and decent opiates etc. That way you can...
1. get as good a high as the bottle is likely to give you, even in the most optimistic scenario
2. not die
3. keep one of the bottles intact with the stuff inside it
4. quite possibly earn surplus cash

Sorry man, I just recently moved and someone (not me) forgot to pack my wireless dsl card, since I am on 56k temporarly and its lightning like crazy (I've lost 3 56k modems to lightning strikes over the past few years) I just wanted to post my thoughts and get off till the storm passes, I think I mentiond that.
