Smelling it would maybe give hints to if it's bad or not. Of course you don't know what it smells like, and it'll probably smell weird. But if it smelled like shit, like actual shit, or something extremely wrong like that, may be bad.

The alcohol would probably keep bacteria and the like from forming in there.

The poster said he had many bottles of this. You only need one if you want to keep it as a novelty item.

I'd say take a small spoonful and see if it hurts your stomach or not. If it feels fine, maybe you can proceed with a small dose. None of those drugs degrade into anything toxic, but some stuff in there may have turned into something that'll hurt your stomach.

I'd keep it as a souveneir though, it's not everyday you come across something like that : )
 
If you did open the morphine sulfate bottle, you could try cooking (evaporating) the solution slowly using a double boiler just to see what it looks like in powder/salt form. Use an electric stove, it's dangerous to evaporate alcohol with a gas stove. I still I wouldn't advise consuming it. Who knows what could have been put in it.

Edit: nevermind, it's all one bottle.. too much shit here. Don't mess with it.

i still dont know about this.. yeah those ingredients alone dont degrade into anything toxic, but who knows what can happen with all that shit combined. i dare anyone to find a study on the chemistry of indica/morphine/whatever extracts.

it might be feasible to try it if it didnt contain the cannabis extract. hell i might evey give it a go in that case, but because it contains some form of plant matter (cannabis) then 80 years of degradation could easily have made that shit toxic as hell.

i think sonic's idea was great, try to cook off the liquid and see what the powder looks like. i would still be very wary to try it though.

in any case, doesnt morphine degrade when its suspended in water? maybe im thinking of diamorphine.

I'm here and not going anywhere. I thought about evaping it, but what would that do beyond get rid of the alcohol and maybe the ammonia. I would still be consuming whatever is in that bottle. Its a BIG bottle too. The height of a 20oz coke bottle, but probaly like 32 oz

I removed many posts. No discussion of testing on animals. They react differently to drugs anyway, so even if you measured a dose in mg/kg... it isn't going to help you. People please stop talking about dosing other people, animals, etc. I'm not a big fan of where this thread is going. If it keeps steering towards unethical and flat out illegal shit, I'll keep removing posts, or if it goes even further, I'll euthanize this whole deal.

I'm gonna take a pic, I just got to get ahold of this chick. Simmer down guys, there are like 30 of these bottles and I am SURE i can get them. I have to meet her within the week anyway.

some dude in the 30's was like "oh shit, this shit is going off the market, time to stock up bitches!" So he buys cases of this stuff, AND IT JUST SITS IN HIS GARAGE? WTF!?
So for some unknown reason he like, he didn't take it, so what the fuck? Did he OD? does the shit not work? What kind of fuck nut would not indulge in bud laced morphine drink? Was it bunk? Did the company that manufactured these bottles sell bottles with nothing fun in them? I mean really? Who wouldn't drink this shit?

it was probably a collector that happened upon a horde of the shit. there are a lot of collectors out there of these antique medicine/"concotion" bottles
