I disagree, eating certain topical pastes is the shit. IE the GM ketamine paste burn victems get where its like 10grams of ketamine in 100 grams of diffusimax. Eating it works daaaaamn fine

Are you crazy G? People are nasty after seventy years, imagine how bad that shit will have to taste after breaking down for years. It's been stored in a lot of places probably, and you have no idea if that was by something warm, cold wet or what.

This thread had a good start, as he asked if it was safe, and we started out by giving good responses. Then this turned into a mess (I don't care what time zone you are in, April fool's day is over =D ). I'd rather not see recommendations that he give it to an animal, an elderly person, and overall encouragement that he take a rotten 80 year tincture thats been sitting there rotting in a garage. Please keep the discussion on topic and safe.

Shit look at it this way:
You could probably sell it an some antique medicine collector, and with the profit, buy more morphine, phenobarb (which is trash anyway), and hash oil than that bottle ever contained. And it wouldn't be rotten, degraded, and potentially harmful.

My best advice:
Take a picture, post it in the gallery for everyone to beat off to - but if you decide to drink it, do so at your own peril. It would look better on your shelf then you would shuffling off...

i am willing to bet your case is the exception rather than the rule. most topical ointments have ingredients in them that you DO NOT want to ingest. i realize you did it and got away with it, but i hope people reading this dont get the impression that it is OK to eat medicines meant for external use only. some of them even purposefully put in bad shit so people dont try to abuse them (orally).

Do not smell the bottles contents! Depending on the contents, you could easily inhale some nasty vapor and burn your nose mang. You said it has ammonia in it? I def. would not take a wiff of it. Too dangerous. If you do decide to smell it, keep your face a safe distance away, and wave your hand over it, and fan the vapors toward you.
 
Get that shit tested. Think about it, man. If everything in there is what it says it is and hasn't degraded or spoiled, you've got a fucking gold mine on your hands.

That shit would get you twisted.

I agree with slowly finding a personal dose..A shot glass would be an example of a convenient house-hold item..

Personally, I probably wouldn't take it becuase, depending on your current physical/mental health, you'll probably just end up vomiting profusely...

But WHAT IF!!!???=D

You fucking find Nirvana and have a blast with a substance probably no one on this board has had the opportunity to even see a fucking bottle of that....

Just be safe and no your limits...Reserch all of the contents!
 
If you can get a GC/MS done for only 80 dollars, shit man, I'd be glad to donate to the cause. If the contents are determined to be devoid of toxic by-products, you should definitely try a couple mL's just to see what happens.

The only way I'd take it is if I had a chemist friend who could confirm it's contents, and that it hasn't degraded into something bad for you.
 
Well if it was me I honestly would try some of it, no idea what I would start with though, maybe pour some in a bottle and taste it first, then drink just a little. Wait about 20 mins and sip again, and try a few times. If nothing happens, then id get it tested..

Also, isn't ammonia like...really bad for you to swallow?

there is actually a lot of info out there on tinctures like this, but in that era there were hundreds if not thousands of different "elixirs" that contained various narcotics and combinations of other medications that were widely available and highly potent (in today's terms).

Also one of the big reasons they were illegalized was that manufacturers would put drugs in their pills or elixirs for numerous ailments without properly labeling them.
