Anyway, I was at some pain mgt chicks house scorin, waitin in the garage. While I standing there I look over to my left and see 3 old wooden crates full of 1930-1920s era pharmcy bottles. The first one I pickup has the following ingrediants:

Cannabis indica extract
Morphne Sulfate
Phenobarbital
Ammonia(something)
46% alcohol
and something else

Its in this old glass bottle with a cork in it. It was on its side so some of the side of the bottle is stained from the contents. The contents are pure black. It is ~ 95% full. And that is just the first bottle.

This lady worked at some ebay store and some lady brought them in at some point. She just bought them and put them to the side. She came back in and I was like, do you know what you have here? She was like, yea, but its probaly a bunch of poison.

Some other bottles were opiate tincures and other random shit.

So now, Do I take the medication? I would love to take a shot of some 100 proof liquour and get stoned, leaned out, drunk, and barred out. But this shit is black as night. I didn't see the liquid outside the bottle so it may not be as bad as I rember. I almost think the bottle has never been opened. It has a cork in the top that is even with the top of the bottle. And it would be impossible to get it off without a corkscrew. And, there is no corkscrew hole in the cork, so that makes me think it has never been opened.

I know the medication is still gonna work, but what about that amonia and whatever else was in it? It was some wierd shit, i'll look again. Is it gonna be funky or does the alchol save it?

So what do you think guys, should I use it?

sounds risky to me.... any strange odors?? procede with caution I would say... but do let us know how it goes if you do try it :)

I think that the cannabis extract should be alright, but i'm wondering about the Morphine Sulfate-- hmmm

1996, sure! 1930...i'd pass. Just my opinion though. Goodluck if you decide to go ahead with it.

Considering it's 78 years old, I'd say avoid it. To repeat the above poster, there's no way to measure an accurate dose. Also, there's really no way to verify whether the contents of the bottle are safe for ingestion. The fact that it's pitch black doesn't look good.

i would sit down with a shot glass and SLOWLY find a dose

maybe 15 mins b/w half shots in a reg shot glass

but u may not be so adventurous, not a bad thing

DO NOT TOUCH IT.

You have no idea if what is in those bottles are the original contents or not. For all you know, that lady could be right and they are a bunch of poisons. Just because the cork doesnt have a hole in the top does not mean it hasnt been opened. Its very easy to put a new cork in. Plus, you have no idea what condition those medications are in after all this time. Stuff like that usually keeps for a while, but 80 something years? It sounds dangerous man. Anyone suggesting otherwise is out of their minds.

Throw the contents away and save the bottles.

Give some to someone you don't like very much and observe what happens.
:]

So far its a cool story. If you use it, it might turn into a sad story. And you don't want that, do you? Cool stories are better, don't touch it.

Absolutely do not drink those bottles. Contents therein are non verifiable and I doubt any blue lighter can accurately tell you how those chemicals degrade with each other after that long.

Just don't go blind or poison yerself

not only that, but you dont know if any molding or fermentation has happened with the crap inside. I wouldnt touch it. As a general rule of thumb, I wouldnt ingest (in any manney) ANYTHING unless I know exactly what it is (food included).

Dosnt sound to safe and I can just hear the ambulances' siren now...

Why in the world would you want to waste something that cool? It's like buying a pack of cigarettes with 100-year-old coins. I'd save them.
