Ok guise,

I'm fucking broke, all I got is that amount in the title left. All i have left is some spaghetti sauce, about half a big mason jar and a bag of bread and a tiny bit of butter.

Everything's so fucking expensive since like 2 years, i could have figured out what to do back then but now i'm stumped.

I'm canadian, so that might help anyone who wants to help. I'll have my student money on the 29th only. I have no idea what to buy and I hate going to the groceries and I usually buy something on a whim.

Thanks.

Teach yourself to Fish or Hunt Squirrels

I mean seriously, if thats how your budgeting works you should learn a skill like that, or dumpster diving. Soup Kitchens, food stamps, something.

So are you trying to say you're gonna go on a 13 day ramen binge but you're above dumpster diving?

:p

dumpster diving is AWESOME.

we got semi-fresh eggs, entire cakes, lots of bread, bushels of apples, as many slightly brown bananas as we could eat.

Steer clear of the meat though its sketchy tbh.

Also, sell your TV

as for dumpster diving - certain restaurants throw massive amounts of food away after they close and it's all fresh, just legally they can't sell it since it's a day old. I used to work at Dunkin Donuts on the night shift, and we had to throw away a TON of food every night. all the food was put in their own trash bags too, so there's no way of the food even touching trash, it's all clean. I've never done it, but it could work!

food bank, homeless shelter, beg on the streets, dumpster dive.

ramen ain't gonna cut it man.

ramen is crap for you, hydrogenated trans fats and high glycemic index carbs (think it will curb your appetite for very little time).

yeah man who's your roman dealer, seems like you got pretty beat. back in my day 7cents was a pack of roman, we would buy them from the food town when 12 and 13 and started what was later to be known as "Roman fights" in the court yard.

Ramen is horrible. For that price you should have bought bulk brown rice or quinoa! :(

that's what i would have suggested. i've been there. actually, i'm still there a lot of the time. odds are you won't be able to make that ramen last and actually keep you alive without making you sick so you'd better be preparing a contingency plan. mine has always been stealing food since it's not as bad as being beaten up by the homeless for hedging in on their dimes. either that or you offer whatever labour you can spare for a dollar, that's pretty much the wealth of options you're left with. i hope shit turns better for you soon, there's nothing as rewarding as being able to shop for a nice meal!

hehe, you health freaks are funny.

There's no trans fat in those ramens I bought believe it or not.

And I got nothing to spice up brown rice. Ramen has a flavor at least and hmm, I left a call at some charity. For 1 dollar i'll have 2 bags of stuff that doesn't rot (cans, cookies, etc.). Now to hunt for that dollar cos i got 7 cents left. Heh.

I think I can survive solely on ramen, bread and OJ until the 29th.

next time you have money buy some seeds and plant them. there are a lot of foods that can grow well indoors. strawberries, tomatoes, etc

Do you have any friends that can donate a bit of food for you?

My husband makes this great meal with ramen noodles. After you boil the noodles and ad the powder fry it up with some garlic, carrots, daikon, celery, etc... and soy sauce. MMmm its sooo good!!

and lentil dal - like lentil curry
dumpster dive - food bank -bulk section at the food co op
duh.

me and my girlfriend and her kid survived on tax money for 2 months when i wasn't working. we almost went under but we went to a food bank and i got a job just in time to save us from losing our apartment. check out food banks. don't buy things you don't absolutely need until you're stable financially. get a job? shit i'm a professional paperboy and make the same as i would working 40 hours a week at burger king. i don't know what welfare programs canada has, but if they have any check them out.

Not saying you should, but I'd probably shoplift.

You have to eat, and that store can deduct it off whatever they throw out at the end of the day.

I have been trying to find a food bank out here! All I can find when I research it is where the drop of places are to donate. I cannot figure out where I can actually get food!

QUOTE:OP>>And I got nothing to spice up brown rice

You toss sesame seeds in the butter and toss your brown rice in and it is delicious! Very nutricious too! ...and a bit of onion will do, not expensive!

Salvation Army, has free meals!

Offer to farmers to do fruit picking for them, for exchange of food!

Bread Bakers, give away everything at the end of the day!

>>>What on earth is>dumpster dive????????
