Don't know why I came to this site and now am at a lose as how to delete my account. Be cool as I can tell you all are and get me off of this site asap. Delete account. ps..you guys rock! keep on keeping on.

Leaving Bluelight

For personal reasons I need to cease all contact with the site and never return. How do I leave Bluelight?
Go to Settings (link in the top menu bar) and modify your profile to remove all personal details. While changing your profile, choose "No" to receiving all types of email messages. Review your thread subscriptions and be sure to unsubscribe from everything. That way you will not be contacted again about anything relating to Bluelight. Be sure to log out and remove all Bluelight-related bookmarks from your computer. Congratulations, you are no longer a Bluelighter.

But what about my posts? Can the administrators delete all of my posts for me?
No, we will not delete all of your posts. Everyone is free to manually delete or edit their own posts. It is the user's responsibility to take care of their own business. Do not expect the administrators to solve your problems for you. (In rare circumstances we will delete posts in closed threads, because you are unable to delete them yourself. But only if those posts are potentially incriminating or dangerous for you. And please, ask nicely; we're doing you a favour).

Why won't you delete my account for me?
Again, this is the user's responsibility. No one forced you to register and no one is forcing you to leave.

No, but you don't understand! This is an emergency!
Our experience has shown that most of these requests come in the middle of some, possibly drug-induced, moment of paranoia. If you're worried about what you've posted here, take some time away from the computer. Maybe it will seem like less of a problem the next day.
 
Thanks for the kind words of encouragement. As for drug induced paranoia, I have not experienced that since the millenia.I am not paranoid, or angry even if it appears that way. Of course, it is hard to gauge ones tone of voice in writing. I am merely frustrated at the difficulty I have navigating this site. Shite, I just chanced upon this nugget of information. Thanks again for your help. Glad Im not one of the many out there that really need it.

why no "unsubscribe"? i may not be the most computer literate person ( this is an understatement of course ), but this sight is in dire need of basic upgrading. It is ridiculous to have to jump through hoops in order to delete an account, much less anything else. If i have drank the flavor -aid ( JJ gave kool - aid a bad name ), let me know so that I can give up my quest to remove myself from this labyrinth that had i paid more attention in my middle school data entry class i could easily have solved by now. Frustrated does not begin to describe my mood. perplexed perhaps? Must be the "drug induced paranoia" setting in, but i fear my dial up has been tapped. User friendly or just friendly would go a long way. Maybe i will write down all of the ignorant shite i have done while under the influence; or perhaps some bad poetry is in order. Or, maybe i will waste more time trying in vain to remove myself from this cyber purgatory. No response expected, as i doubt this even posts. Harm reduction?! what a joke
